I have about $500 worth of $2 bills. 20 of them are star notes. Maybe one day they'll be worth something if they don't get moldy. 1/5/2025

Here in northern Mexico we keep $2 dollar bills for good luck, but also, in case we really, really need to use it. It is said that when you reach that rock bottom where you need to use the bill, you have nowhere else to go but upwards. And when you get better, you get more $2 bills, keep one and gift the rest.

I have worked in retail for many years now. In my last position as a manager, I had to explain to a young cashier that they were real bills. Now, I work in banking and usually get a kick out of watching people react to them.

Great Scott. This problem I have learned something that I may have a ton of money laying around. I have a couple of authentic. I had him and tested, and they were authentic $19532 bills, and they all have matching one after another serial numbers. In other words, all the serial numbers are in line In other words, I have a whole stack of here, three hundred and sixty five doll i have $1000 and 200 dollar bills in 1953 form. I just kept on to him. Because I never really thought they were worth that much. I knew they were older, but I didn't think there would be, you know, viable. I don't know when this documented him out. I wish I saw it sooner. I was given to him by my uncle Louie, which is still alive and he's in a nursing home now with dementia, he used to work for the government in Massachusetts. And he gave me those stacked over the years. I just cut on to all the stocks of a 100 set of $200 bills. He always gave me And now I got about, you know, somewhere around like i have about $1000 and 100 stacks of $2 bills. All from 1953I have shut them out of the paper and had a paper of you know, money historian, tell me that they were worth nothing. So I decided to keep on to him, he told me that they were fake, and I didn't write. Trust the guy and my parents told me to go to this guy. So therefore I just kept on to him. They were all $2 bills, but what made me realize I might have something that's legit is when they talked about the over the head of the Thomas Jefferson, I realized I don't have the reproduction ones I held the legit. You know early 1953 addition to 54, and I also have some also straight 50 1950s. Edition $,2 bill stax. They had their red ink and the writing nieces are more rare. Oh like oh I guess. I maybe should be taking a look into that great scott

I said before I had them tested in the early 2000s. I don't think I told doc, but I told you, I had them tested by my parents because I was young at the time, I was 3 of 4 when I got my first act of a 100 of $200 bills. Am I every time I went to go to my uncle Louie in Western Massachusetts? He would always give me another stack of a 100 Alice. I got decades that I have all mapped and serial numbers like one out or another and stacks of a hundreds. I got the year 1950 9052 and 1953 and some 1915. Before $2 bill's, all stacked in A All stacked in a hundred and the grand turtle of my whole entire collection of nineteen fifty two dollar bills are actually about $1000 altogether, if you count them normally like twos, I never really crumpled mine or carry mine. I always took him out. Only once are the slave from the bank, but put him hell and put him right back. And I have not touched them since they are still in the sleeves compressed. And I make sure I how I'm stuck in a way that I can leave something some might have each other stay nice and crisp and flat. They never been folded or carried before. My uncle Louie told me also Cos the last act. He gave me that he got these. Run the bank and never use them. He told me to do what ariah want with him. And I trusted us, spending them or carrying them or tons of them. I decided to hang on to him and keep him crisp. He was the one they pull him out of the bank when they were brand new. When he decided he didn't need him anymore, he gave them to me. And now I own all of these, I'll be well, not all that year, but I'm saying I own each and them. One ear of those years cut, I got about 10 stacks of a hundreds. So that makes 1000 brand new crisp 1950s edition $,2 bills sitting around, never been folded creased or anything I even prefer to people not to touch 'em with their hands, I have bought specialty. Museum cloth gloves that I wear when I touch 'em. I don't want even the oils to get on them from my hands. They are also placed in e fireproof safe and a water kite safe, and on top of that, I had a special safe build decked dandynamite, and they're concealed in plastic. And I have a special thing that I made to make sure they lay down perfectly evenly cause that way. I could put something heavy on there to keep them. Nice and crisp with the original banknotes cards that they came within 1950s. I have not carried them since or ever like I said, I got ones from 19 fifty-fifty 3N52 and 54, all those ears and I still have them now. People told me they were worth nothing. I had at the time when I got on like I said that I would be very young. I appreciate a prism at nothing. And now it's in the early 2000s, they said they are fake. I think it's time to get another her evaluation cause. I think by watching this as I noticed when I had a long time girl. In the 2000s, there was no much history. All gathered in one spot. This video taught me a lot. And I think it's 10 per a second valuation of my early 50s, 1950s bills. Of course. If I'm gonna ask someone to appraise them, I will ask the appraiser to please put on some protective gloves. It have not been put any documented proof things, as I had not sent them out to do so. They are still does any plastic bag. The I use to make a vacuum tight seal, and I use a thing to help compress them. I did a vacuum type bag. So I can lay them out perfectly and use it to vacuum seal them in there and have a heavy, heavy piece of lead the, I used cute and I cast it to keep them nice and crisp. They still have. There is no bank notes.I definitely do think it's time now to go and get him appraised

@TheTwoDollarBillDocumentary I watched it in full. I am not American. It is very hard for me to understand why anyone would care about this. I honestly intitally got the feeling that there was no such thing as a $2 American note and the video was Ai generated on a fake topic. Anyway thank you I don't want to take away from your work and it was entertaining

I would occasionally get them at the horse track over the years before they had to shut down for good about 10 years ago, unique, only place I can think of of. I always thought it was clever marketing, as folks might be more inclined to 'reinvest' at the $2 wager level - lowest possible bet, why not?

I had read in a book about how the 2 dollar bill was heavily utilized by U.S servicemen stationed overseas, especially in West Germany. that the excessive amounts of bills making their way back stateside kept the currency from being phased out. it's funny, though, because i can't remember the name of the book, and was wondering this all last week. then now, this video shows up in my algorithm ??? LOL too oddly "coincidental"

Want to hear a funny story. Here goes. A Dallas Police Officer always asked his paycheck at the bank and got 2 dollar bills every payday beyond his bills. He was robbed at gun point by 2 thugs who were caught within a couple of hours. They claimed it was not them but they had 2 hundred dollars in 2 dollar notes and the bank actually had sold so few of them they were able to say with 99 % certainly it was from them to this Police office. They were convicted of robbed by gun .. got 20 years. 😁 We used to get at least 2 calls a week at DPD from 78 to 82 about 2 dollar bills from people and merchants thinking it was fake money 💰
