Such beauty! Such history! Such food! Such wine! LOL I always prefer to renting a car when exploring on vacation. I love being immersed in the real world of a place. The roads, the locals, the real places. However, if you're lucky enough to get on a good tour with good people, that is a priceless experience. That torture dungeon looks like fun! LOL Gladiator is one of my favorite films! So cool! Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is my all time favorite wine so seeing the town makes me so happy! Now I can use bunghole in it's proper meaning and confuse everyone LOL Thank you for the info on this video. I've saved it to my Travel playlist. I'm sure it'll be my guiding star when I finally get myself to Italy!

Your support means a lot to me :) Yes, we always prefer renting a car as well, but this time around we only had four days in Tuscany, of which two were spent in Florence and two exploring the Tuscan countryside, so taking two-day trips and then comparing them (to see which one was best) seemed like the way to go. That, of course, only opened our appetite to go back, rent a car, and spend a minimum of two weeks in the area. Tuscany is so beautiful, and like you said, the scenery, the food, the wine…. Mama Mia!!!! Lol, That torture dungeon was creepy lol, but we had a good time; I just felt terrible about the way of treatment in the past. I also love a good bottle of Montepulciano, and being there meant so much because now, every time I pick up a bottle at my local wine store, I get taken back to that moment and remember my time there- that was priceless :) Visit Florence, you will love it! There is not a lot of seafood there, lol

Every time I go to Venice I swear it's the last time. Total tourist overdose. The worst food in Italy, not to mention the price. If you spend the night, boring as hell, because all the ship day tourists are gone, Mestre Italians are gone, bus tourists are gone. But it's peaceful. I always say I'll never go back. But alas, I do

I love Venice, it's so beautiful, but yes it's full of tourists. My favorite restaurant in Venice is on Burano's Venitian island, “Al Gato Nero.” Have you been? Their risotto is out of this world! I highly recommend checking it out. I actually appreciate the tourist-free and quiet nights to hang out in Cannarrgio; the vibe there feels more local and authentic. And I understand you going back, how can you not? Its Venice!! 😎

Hi there! I recommend getting your train tickets ahead of time. I used Trainline and it was great because it keeps you up to date if there are any delays etc plus if you're using the train to visit different cities in Italy, all your trips are saved in one place. The best way to get to Lake Como (Varena) is through Milan. You can book your ticket here: trainline.tp.st/1HRRQkfa For the hotel, check-in is at 3pm but you can leave your bags in the lobby area if you arrive earlier and carry on exploring Lake Como! Hi there! Thanks so much for watching. I was in Italy for the entire month of May. It rained daily for the first two weeks, with brisk temperatures between 50 and 65 degrees F. By the third week of May, the days were warmer and sunny, so you’re going at an ideal time for good weather! That said, you’ll be visiting at the start of peak season. I highly recommend booking all your activities/stays and making restaurant reservations ahead of time to avoid long lines.

The water taxi is more expensive than the water bus. A water bus will cost you about €7.50 for a 75 min unlimited ride. It’s like riding a public bus vs a taxi for example.
