It’s very very important in 602 and 604 crates to change the valve springs regularly. Not sure if you do . But if the car got slower and slower, I’d definitely be worried about a problem in the crank area .
@larrywarner931411 күн бұрын
Sounds like your running lean , that would cause the flames like that , as far as the oil pressure drop you need to drop the oil pan and look at the crank
@codyrose37511 күн бұрын
Have you guys looked into rear end gear ratios, a taller ratio will give more torque out of corner and higher top end by the end of the straight.
@TheHenryBoys11 күн бұрын
The gear ratio is the same one many use. We are just down on power for some reason. Especially towards the end of the race. You see the car ahead just start gapping is and the car gets very quiet.
@dirtcarracing513312 күн бұрын
Was the engine new when yall bought it, also you might want to get new tires for it them tires don’t last for ever
@PBHenry11 күн бұрын
It was not. It was supposed to be very lightly used but the motor was not run by the person I bought it and the car from. I don't know how long anything was refurbished on it but it definitely is our biggest issue. And the tires especially the RR I think finally gave up this race because the track was so much drier than normally what we run on
@dirtcarracing513311 күн бұрын
Also the oil system could be bad we had that problem with are car you should check that as well you, should do some research on that
@steveschannel475912 күн бұрын
Trying to diagnose the issues in racing is difficult because you have to wait until the following race weekend to see if your adjustments worked. On the bright side, the qualifying effort was good and PB is getting more comfortable driving the car and it shows. You guys will get it figured out and be able to put a full night of racing in. Thanks for sharing your journey with us. Looking forward to the next one.
@PBHenry11 күн бұрын
Thanks. I certainly do feel more comfortable. And I feel balance is almost where I need it for what I think I need. The motor is just our biggest issue for sure. Looking forward to one night of full power eventually

I'll give you young men some advice, make sure you use good racing oil and not off the shelf oil , I use Brad Penn 20 50 racing oil,

What a great accomplishment. You guys are improving with every race. Seat time and being able to complete all of the laps is the goal. My son got his first laps in his 602 this weekend at a private practice and now we take the next step of seeing how he does around other cars. Keep up the good work. I enjoy watching your progress.
@TheHenryBoysАй бұрын
Thank you! We are glad you enjoy it. And that is great to hear, and we hope that the first race around others goes well! We need to hear an update when that happens.

Thank you! The next race in the 602 for us is more than likely going to be June 15th at Needmore. But we are looking to have the Neon out sooner than that.

Drive needs To go play in an old pick up truck, in a field doing donuts, and learn how to come out of the Donuts in the field somewhere ,out here-dry lake bed then you will find the point of loss grip ,and the sets the beanch mark,ok thanks BigAl California ❤
@TheHenryBoys2 ай бұрын
We haven’t done that exactly, but PB has been doing some spirited driving around the farm to get more feel for the car. The dry lake beds seem like fun!

Rich kids and grandpa who wants to hand them everything. Might l suggest that you send them to a Vo Tech somewhere so that they learn something about cars and engines.
@PBHenry2 ай бұрын
Sadly I'm not a rich kid nor come from a rich family. I have worked for everything I have. Not to mention I don't have a grandfather alive sir. So I have to learn everything on my own. And this only fuels me more to go out and chase that first win in this car to prove to people like yourself that just because someone is young and works on their own stuff that they too can win and compete eventually. I'd advise you to get your facts right next time
@johnny72Racer12 ай бұрын
The biggest tire actually goes on the left rear, funny as it looks it will handle better. I know RF tire and camber looks good. Take my word for it is a 50 footer from the stands. But it will handle way better.
@johnny72Racer12 ай бұрын
Contrary to natural instinct never correct to fast. You may overcorrect and let the car get away to the point you cannot bring it back. At that point we are along for the ride. Keep it smooth and good luck.
@TheHenryBoys2 ай бұрын
Thank you! And yeah, lesson definitely learned. Honestly, I knew not to turn towards the wall, but in the heat of the moment the natural instinct kicked in and it was too late. On the bright side I found a flaw that I can work on and pay attention to and keep getting better.

Sum it up. Too much money then skilll and brains
@TheHenryBoys3 ай бұрын
Hey, you have left a series of negative comments on the videos, and that is perfectly fine. It is good to get a mix of people enjoying and not enjoying the content, so we can improve. I am sorry that you feel this way. We are very blessed to have what we have and have always worked hard to achieve where we are in motorsport. While we are more blessed than a lot of people in the world, I don't think we have "too much" money. We have worked very hard to afford the cars we have acquired. In terms of skill and brains, everyday in life we learn something new. Here on the channel we like to be as open as we can about what we do wrong, where we can improve, and also our good times. Like, our 4 wins in the Neon at Black Horse vs our first races ever for each driver where we definitely didn't know a lot. It is a process. People like Mr. Roger Penske didn't wake up and just know everything about business and racing. He worked towards it over many years. There were ups and downs and the same goes for us. We are just in the developing stages of it all.
@user-xz4ec6fk5d3 ай бұрын
Sorry you need to hear this.. you dont even know how to work on your own car
@TheHenryBoys3 ай бұрын
That is fine. I (Connor) kind of know that I am not a mechanic. But I am out here trying and learning. A lot of people don't get the opportunity to do this and just get to dream about getting to work on any sort of racecar, so I am blessed to be able to have worked for what we have and get to learn like I do. If you have any tips or anything feel free to help us out! It would be much appreciated and very helpful.

@TheHenryBoys3 ай бұрын
Sorry you feel that way, but there are a lot more reckless people at the tracks we go to. Also, the late model doesn't even get worked on in this video ?
@user-xz4ec6fk5d3 ай бұрын
Cant even get into 3rd gear wowwwww
@TheHenryBoys3 ай бұрын
Not really any need to. The goal was to kind of keep it between a certain RPM. Even when we raced at Black Horse (1/4 mile) at nearly we still use 2nd gear.
@user-xz4ec6fk5d3 ай бұрын
I apologize for the ignorance but really your going 30 in a billi9n acres field and wearing a helmet. Doesn't look legit as a racer
@user-xz4ec6fk5d3 ай бұрын
Make sure you were the helmet in the backyard lol ......rich rookies
@TheHenryBoys3 ай бұрын
The helmet isn't for safety as much as it is for keeping dirt out of my eyes. The dry field at any speed blows up a lot of dirt. And can you please show me where the money is?

hey guys keep up the good work have yall heard any news on black horse speedway ???

The track got sold to the surrounding pecan tree farm that you could see in the background of the videos around when we were in the pits. Most of it has been torn down or has just grown up and covered by pecan trees.

you need to check the rules at your track about the fuel pump, most tracks and pretty much all the sanctioning body's wont let you run an electrical fuel pump in a late model

Yeah we know. Never claimed to be professionals. Just out here having fun and trying to learn from experience. I include our talks, so people can help us understand better and fix what we think. If you know anything we don’t, feel free to share.

Now that's a successful test and tune session. Working out some bugs and getting some valuable seat time. I am extremely impressed with the confidence he gained behind the wheel and how much speed he gained. I know there were some fuel pressure issues in the beginning but the difference between how he looked in the last session compared to the first is impressive. Keep it up and keep us posted.
@TheHenryBoys4 ай бұрын
It was definitely a success. Any chance we have to learn this new platform is needed. Especially, to get up to a consistent and competitive race pace.
