I am a Driving Instructor and the previous VAG models use to have a DrivingSchool function available to code in the infotainment system. That made it easy to switch on when you had to use the car for work and turn of when not working. I hoped that this function was available on the new Enyaq since I am looking to switch my Audi A4 2015 to man Enyaq RS

Another great vídeo! Kudos! One question the range of the 2022 model is considering the 72600 KWh of battery capacity shown in the CarScanner app? And I'm anxious about the video how to watch netflix and others in the Enyaq! 😊
@electrifiedspeicher
@electrifiedspeicher Күн бұрын
The range in the 80x is due to the driving profile of the owner who lend me the car for the drive as he is using the car for commuting on the highway most of the time so he has a way higher consumption as I had on the test drive. I also know drivers with different driving profiles who have way more range (400km+)

Another great video Matthias! 👌You keep surprising us with new information about the Enyaq. Thank you. I’m also surprised that the MY24 is only slightly more efficient than the previous model. A test with the Kodiaq iV would very interesting. How does a comparable Hybrid (that the Kodiaq is) do against an Enyaq? Not only with regard to consumption, but concerning the costs especially. I’m also curious about the ‘secret box’ you use to stream Google Earth etc. to the Infotainment screen.

Totally agree with your synopsis of this new feature. What a waste of time and energy in producing something that you can get via the internet at home! I am still waiting for my first Skoda Enyaq so cannot comment on how the system does or does not work but I just find it incredibly strange that any car manufacturer is looking into this kind of addition to their software when I know that so many owners have aired their concerns over very real issues that concern the car itself. Thank you for sharing your feedback and thoughts with us, really enjoy your videos.😊

I love my Enyaq 85, but the lack of connectivity features makes me regret the decision of buying one. The lack of transparency of the changes between major versions and the lack updates is an embarrassment for the company. Not to mention the reliability of their services is a joke. Getting the Offers app instead of something more meaningful and useful proves that the orientation is B2B instead of B2C business model. Thank you for being the voice of the community. I have plenty of reasons to buy the Skoda over Tesla - 5 decent sized seats instead of 4. A decent sized and more importantly practical trunk - the tailgate hole shape and size is much better. I don't have that silly great screen in the middle, and I have my instruments where I need them . The ride is much better, and to be honest the range is just as good, there's a proper dealer network with support, build quality is a whole other level than Tesla... need I go on? (oh, and I have a fundamental problem with Elon as a person so why should I support him? :) Lastly for my screen... no I don't need anything other than a radio, and the capability to stream music from my phone, and a map. Anything else is unnecessary for driving. Maybe some more power ports for the kids in back so they can watch their own things on their tablets or laptops. The less distractions for the driver, the better. The one exception is please give us one button to turn off the stupid internal lighting for good and not have to keep turning it off again every single time there's a 'user settings update do you want to apply it now?' message! and one button to turn off lane keep assist and all the other driving aids that are so slow to react that I already fixed it and move to the next thing.. the one time I actually needed stability control, it did not even trigger.. fortunately I managed to sort it out myself - but it triggers all the time when it is not needed. etc etc etc PS... on British potholes (the roads are fewer and less easy to find than potholes and bumps) I would much rather have a physical dial or button to push than a software button, especially as I can only touch the screen a few times before it locks up and tells me to concentrate on the road... a button I can physically feel, or navigate past, without looking at it, is much, much better from a driver workload and concentration perspective. This is basic Ergonomics and Human Factors ... something that is seriously lacking in current infotainment design... Car builders seem to think Human Factors only applies to seating position and major controls today... well the software needs proper development too starting with the user.. and the decision on software versus hardware controls needs to follow a defined software tree... otherwise it will have to be done with legislation to ensure drivers are focused on the road. Future (always in 10 years from now) full self driving with reliable road sign recognition and GPS etc is not going to happen - My Enyaq was confused by starting in a car park and the map and car thought I was 15 miles away in a 35kph limit, so with the new speed limiting tech, it would have tried to slow me. In actual fact I was on a 110Kph dual carriageway road where that would have been incredibly dangerous. There is a huge amount of work still to do before the cars are ready for this, and until it is, if I have to electrify my 2010 Saab 9-3 and run it with NO software, then I am happy to do so!

Personally still waiting for the update, while I'm having strange issues with headlights.... the beam height can't be setup from the console anymore, and after a quick tour to the garage they "fixed" it by basically setting it manually to the correct height and ignored the custom "electronic" setting... I'm so pissed at my garage... Also, I discovered the tailgate lights are not illuminating and the garage simply told me "basic models don't get these, so there are in fact no light bulbs or leds in the box"... I find this super strange, and I don't trust them at all, so I'm on a journey to find out if it's true or not.

Mine was updated as one of the first in Denmark and it went smooth.. I only had to do the fuse trick. After the update I do have some problems with Ac charging still. Often it will only charge at 3-4 kw. After some tries, it will go to 10kw. I think it's amazing that people still buy the "old" Enyaqs. The software is slow, clunky and not very good compared to many of the other brands. The car itself is pretty good though. But I won't be buying a Skoda again ever. Update 3.0 to 3.7 in late June done simultaneously with 2 year service. Took 3 days includiing a weekend but no malfunctions since. Loan car offered but declined. The biggest disappointment was the cost of the service which included unnecessary things - change brake fluid, regas the a/c, pollen filter change. Some I could have done myself, but the reset of the service indicator was the only useful thing done, which only Škoda can do allegedly.

I had my Enyaq updated in May, it took more than a day, and when I got the car back next day, the infotainment app showed it was on version 3.5, which we then wondered about with the service point personnel. But then the next day after an OTA update (I assume) it showed v3.7. Also, I've noticed AC charging issues since the update, that the car doesn't recognize when the power comes on in the home charging box (it's timed to power on at night only), and so it doesn't start charging automatically, like it used to before the update. I'll try this fuse reset trick to see if that helps, thanks for sharing this tip!

I got mine updated from 3.0 to 3.7. I had my car at the workshop an extra day, but it was only because the car prior to me had trouble updating. I think it had something to do with Skoda's servers. My update went fine and my car charged without problems the first couple of days. But the recent 2 days it has not been charging. Gonna try the fix mentioned with removing the fuse no. 3 and see if that does the trick. But all in all very happy with the update. Got the update end of June and it works fine until now. Best improvements for me are that it is more stable and that I get consumption data in the Cockpit. Consumption seems to be a little better and just after the update I noticed it drives slightly smoother in a way. In my town there are a lot of low speed bumps, and at 50kph with ACC on, keeping it on 50 was a bit jittery. With ME3.7 that jitter is less. Also I’m almost certain that when ACC stops my car behind someone in front of me, it stays Ready longer to start driving when the car in front starts moving. What is definitely not good: Laura still doesn’t understand anything I ask, or doesn’t work at all and Battery pre-conditioning still doesn’t work. For the zillionth time; the hardware is present and works, it’s just a software issue. By the way: I totally agree on what ‘Langstreckenfahrer’ summed up about Skoda. Very well said. By the way 2: Thanks again Matthias on another great video 🤜🤛🏽

Hi Matthias, I had my iv60 2022 update to ME 3.7 carried out a few months ago. This was carried out whilst my car was in for repair to the GPS module in the sos control unit ( wrong location showing on map causing car on acc to brake for non existing road layout). The car was in for 3 weeks so I don’t know if the ME update took longer or went trouble free however the mapping has been fine since. I had a subsequent issue whereby the car wouldn’t start a scheduled charge as the charger could not wake up the car, this was also solved with a software update. Fingers crossed now all appears to be good. My dealer was great kept me informed and provided a courtesy car every time mine was in the garage. They too appeared frustrated with the processes they had to follow which caused time delayed.

Updated first days of the campaign at the dealer in Bucharest. Car in at 8:00, out at 13:30. This update made the car more usable. One issue I am facing only 30% of the time is that if the car is unlocked and not used for a few hours and I connect the charging cable nothing happens until i wake up the car. I either have to use the remote to unlock the already unlocked car or simply open and close a door. Then the car wakes up and starts the charging process. Got into the habit of opening the rear right door when connecting the cable.

I had the update done fairly early on in the campaign. It went flawlessly and took around 5 hours as well as having the MOT (annual safety certificate in the UK) carried out. The only issue I had was the delayed charging issue which also effects charging through octopus intelligent as well as solar excess. It was a simple easy fix though as you detailed. From what I understand based on what my service tech was telling me, is that when updates go wrong it is because the internet connection dropped. That's right, there has to be an active internet connection between the computer running the update & Ceriads servers. My service centre got around this by using a network cable rather than using a WiFi signal & to date hasn't had any update failures. In terms of how it is with the update; -The Infotainment system responds much quicker & hasn't yet frozen since the update. -I feel like I'm getting much better efficiency now in August than I was in June (when it was warmer but before the update was carried out) -Obvious improvements in the software, such as charge speed data, consumption data in the cockpit display, improved HUD animations etc... So all in all I would definately recommend the update especially to those on 3.0

I have Enyaq coupe 80x produced December 2022. When I picked it up from the dealer at the beginning of October 2023 it was updated to 3.2 (asked precisely what was the version 😊). No issues with SW apart from the fact that it could be faster. Battery preheating is not an issue for me as this could be a problem during the first DC only on long trips (I have CarScanner and do jo-jo for 5 min before arrival to DC), on the second DC battery will be warm enough even during the winter season. For DC charging I saw 175kW when I arrived with a SoC around 5%. So no issues in general and if 3.7 can improve efficiency even for 5%, I'll take it😊, but haven't been contacted by anyone about the SW update yet.

My enyaq 80 - 22 was upgraded from 3.0 to 3.7 back in june. Took about a day but the car feels much better now thanks for the kwh display meter in driver display. Apart from that haven't noticed any changes compared to 3.0. The softare is of course slow but as a swede having a Volvo as my previous car, im used to poor software. I also have a feeling the car is a little bit more efficient than before with less kwh/100 km. Overall happy with the car, but do not like the Skoda alloy wheels and the chrome around the car (not Sportline or Rs), so will look into having a chrome delete in the future together with new alloy wheels. In most cases driving electric is cheaper at a certain point of mileage due to lower consumption, lower maintenance costs and cheap energy. But the last point is not guaranteed. Thanks for your feedback, I really appreciate it! The reason for the overlay is due to certain regulations in certain countries when and what needs to be clarified as advertisement. Since I cannot cover it for all countries one could watch the video I put the overlay on every video. There are two reason for that: - I got a discount on the purchase price of my ENYAQ from Skoda with no obligations on it. Therefore my content is not compromised. But this could be seen as paid advertisement because my car is a central component of my videos. - I have affiliate links in my video description (they are marked as that) and I sometimes show and/or mention those products in my video. Again this could be seen as some sort of infomercial or advertising. Also none of the above would be a violation in my home country Switzerland I simply want to be on the safe side :)

The main tip for them is not changing the company model but to decide where they want to go...there is no need to become a SDV company with level 5, you can stick to 2 or 3 but be consistent and clear about it. The main tip is starting to observe and talk to their customers to get a better and deep knowledge of their needs and their jobs to be done and than think about how to deliver this.
