You can use detect thoughts on Doni and he will sound perfectly fine. It could be that he simply doesn't want to talk, or Mol told him not to reveal anything or something

2 - the kid gives you the ring, but he says I win instead if you just beat up the shadows 3 - I avoided the fight with the owlbear just to get the supplies up the walk... still got the cub (ie the Armored owelbear call at the end)... I tend not to fight the Owlbear but the easy way to kill her (and her mate) is to use your CCs (command is effective)... my brother likes to bring along those two cronies to avenge their brother's death, but they attack the cub so I don't bring them 4 - magic chest is skeevy crap like picking up merchants to throw and then teleporting yourself... I don't do that... although I do use the arcane lock trick cuz that's funny 7 - I always did it that way... although if you produce the artifact, she lets you move on, you just fight them on the end of the walk later rather than in the room, which is preferable if you have an invisibility potion or character to pull off an ambush as they're all gathered up for AOE damage already... however I always kill the Gith Inquisitor before the confrontation with Vlakith... funny thing about that... if you don't bring Laezel, you don't even have to go in the astral prism, you can just go get the mace, the wicked loot in that room, and be done with it 8 - I knew about the crack in the wall... seemed like an unfinished part of the game so I kept exploring what was going on... in the end... just nonsense

I actually love this level of detail. Other games would either give you a game over, because your main character died, or imply such thing never happened. BG3 does acknowledge your death and even works with it in having Astarion apologize for it. This is, why I love Larian (and for D:OS2 of course).

The hyena is such a sad but nice scene. I always imagine him so happy and free after he gets away 😊 Interesting fact in a hyena clan males are lower than females. Each sex also has their own pecking order that is fluent because they always are looking to raise where they rank. The lion whisper here on yt has a clan and has some really amazing videos on them.

Now saving Alfira if you play as Durge is complicated... There is even a way to save alfira and the other bard, but you would softlock that durge personal quest if you do... (and would miss a lot of long rest cutscenes and interactions too, so it will screw over your save, but hey you can save them, read an article about that)

Also did save Mayrina's brothers in my Durge playthrough, because I wanted to maxout Shadowheart approval, and that is the option that she approves of...

I did save Brakkal after killing all the goblins... he is still there you can just save him

I've never tried digging up Kanon's grave before. I'll have to remember to do that next time I do a run where I want to take ALL the tieflings to Baldur's Gate. Grabbed most of the Tiefling bodies you find in Acts 1 and 2 on a recent run, saved up a bunch of revive scrolls, then thanks to a mod that allows revive magic to be used on NPCs I resurrected everyone in Act 3 at the Tiefling camp in Rivington. Yul got revived next to Zorru, I made sure Arabella's parents were standing together, etc. Kanon was already buried by the time I got the idea to begin with so I didn't have him, so I gotta dig him up next time. XD Only other Tiefling I didn't revive near the group was the girl you meet at the entrance to the Mountain Pass. Her body kept vanishing when I would drop it, with no way to pick it back up or interact with it. Even if death she wants to be alone.

BG3 is an amazing game but the level of details in act 1 are on another level. It just feels so polished

I didn't see most of this.... But that's because both times I've done a playthrough, I didn't bother trying to be subtle. I treated like a seige and killed *every* single goblin in open battle, one area at a time, until they were all dead. It took a while, but I didn't regret it. The weird part is when, way late in the game, they talk about how I've become a boogieman for this tribe and it's like "Who is even left to tell those tales? I killed *everyone*".

You have to kill Ethel after knocking out the 4 servants. This can be done by getting the upper hand on her in the teahouse or deep within her lair. Which after Ethel is dead you have to remove their mask while unconscious. Doesn't work if you make a deal with Ethel even if you took off their masks while they were out shortly after she leaves. If you go back to them after a long rest, they will attack you again and the dwarf will die if you unpetrified him. Since only when she is killed is her magic dispersed.

NPCs that are scripted to die cannot be saved. Breaking the script can result in the main quest breaking. The game will also treat that NPC as dead, even if they're technically alive.

Hey, you can first deal with Nere + save the gnomes, save Barcus then once youve spoken to all the gnomes speak to Skikpit or whatever his name is and convince him to go back to the Myconic colony where you see him again instead of sending him into the shadow curse

never had a problem at Waukeen's rest as a Seldarine Drow, they are only weary of the Lolthsworn. But the Ox in the stables next to the Zhent hideout however will attack ANY drow without the chance to calm it.

Last Light Inn NPCs are weird. The ambush with the shambling mound went terribly because of some RNG, half the party died, so in a last-ditch effort I kited them back to the Inn. Only the shopkeep lady joined initiative, possibly because of 100 attitude, and even then she just stood in place on her turn.
