I just realized the knight didn't like, get turned into the original baby dragon...he was just turned into a baby dragon. I never realized that when he gets turned his eyes and gem are blue

It very weird if dragon use a fire breath and the human tranforms into a baby dragon

When I watched this as a kid I didn't finish the rest. I stopped it at the part where the baby dragon died. And the I cried really hard and had anxiety at that part and never finished it til now. I feel the relief now. I think it traumatized me ngl. Edit: I was like super young watching this that's why. But this film is a beauty you can just feel the vibe. No it's a masterpiece. Like no matter how old it is that vibe nevers disappears.

Even tho it’s an old story where none talks is it still one of the best stories I’ve ever seen it’s just beautiful and amazing who ever made this story should be famous right now

I don't blame the princess for choosing not to forgive the prince knight in the end. he hunted her down like a criminal and tried to kill her as a dragon. of course, it would've been apparent to her that their relationship could no longer work.

ya know, as weird as the bat-frog is, it's still a pretty cute creature.

to me, the moral of this short film is that animals are people, too. it's also that every action we take has its consequences.

there was also one particular scene deleted from this short where the wizard teen asked the princess-turned-dragon why she didn't ask her knight boyfriend where he had even got the jewel for her necklace before she put it on, at all. needless to say, the princess-turned-dragon felt kinda stupid for not asking *that* much. the knight prince still got what he deserved in the end, anyway. I thought it was rather sweet, however, that the mother dragon simply turned that arrogant prince into her replacement child instead of destroying him completely if only to have given this child the love that she could no longer have given to her real child when the knight prince killed the poor thing.

Im wondering now, since the knight was turned into a baby dragon, since i think her original baby is already gone, with the gem also being broken that the babys soul is at peace, but with the knight being turned into a baby dragon does he still have his memories of everything that happened? Or does he lose his memory and hes looking around like "where am i, who are you all?" Momma dragons really like "you're my son now"

this animation changed the way i draw dragond to this day! no matter how much my art style changes, i keep thinking of it everytime i draw a dragon!

i keep coming back because this story and animation have seriously inspired me, and i have always wanted more of it, it does something to me similar to what The Last Unicorn does to me.

I love how the Dragons are not evil or monstrous, they are just animals with feelings and sentience... 😊
