After riding Ducati EXCLUSIVELY sine 1988 (I'm a little older than David) I bought one of these 1 month ago, the red / gray 75 anniversary edition. It is, truly, alarmingly beautiful. After riding a twin cylinder bike for so many years it took a little time to become accustomed to the different engine character. They both speak Italian, just 2 - different dialects. But, once this bike starts to climb the rev range., OMG.... I've hardly experienced anything else as exciting. When I tested it I asked how to turn off the SCS. But, you can not. However once I got into traffic ( I'm in LA sooooo, that did not take long) I realized it was an incredible convenience. Lastly; handling. You mentioned yours does not turn in easy? Perhaps you need to dial in the suspension, because mine is like a hot switchblade through butter. My personal, overall rating of the bike: Exquisite.

The Speed Triple is not a recent design. Triumph has been making it for years. The Street Triple is too manic and flighty. Doesn't the Street Triple have cruise control too? You said you rode it before this bike? The colour scheme of this one is horrid. Its either white/red or the black/red but not horrid yellow. Looks bloody awful. But the Speed T is still massively better than the Street T. It's like father and son, man and boy, teacher and pupil. It's a more mature better bike. Has a lot more presence.

I own the 2020 Street Triple RS, same color. Not only is it a great looking bike, it is quite possibly the best handling machine I have ever owned. That sound track is amazing as well

how in the world this amazing video has only 319 views? Glad that I found this gem before others, for true car enthusiasts. Few tips 1- put a go pro towards speedometer and revs, always nice to see some raw footage of engines revving towards red line 2- try to comment while showing the roads ahead, that will lead to a much more enjoyable video experience. Thanks for sharing this David, cheers from an Italian petrolhead! I hope I can have such an experience in the future too

4:22 The old model (2017-19) did have that tech it was and still is an optional extra.

The breaks arent better. They are literally the older versions of the ones on the street rs (and those are the older versions of the ones on the new speed i.e. top of the line brembos)
