Triumph Speed Triple RS
The 148hp BRITISH BULLDOG takes me for a ride for the weekend around south england and I wondered if this bike is worth the extra £4k than a Triumph Street Triple RS.

I got both the speed and the street triple, spend the extra and get the speed, that being said i do live in a place with no speed limits so i can ride the speed the way it's meat to be ridden. Good video man

@@DavidBirtwistle Took mine on the track earlier this year, had a great time until it started raining, was a great bike especially for the Jurby track which is a tight little track.

I’ve taken the baffles out of mine. Now it sounds like it should. 👍🏻. A bit of a job but well worth it in the end

I have this bike and I have removed the baffles from the arrow exhaust. This sounds so much deeper and burbles when off the power. Awesome bike.

Yeh I really want to get the baffles out but i dont think its quite as simple as it once was. Euro Law doesnt really allow it these days I think.

Why do so many say the Speed Triple is heavy when the KTM 1290 Duke R and the BMW S1000R naked weighs exactly the same, while the Kawasaki ZH2 weights about 50lb more?

They are not light bikes though right. For a 1l bike, they are all not super heavy but not light when compared to some of the 600-800cc bikes on the market

First time here, won’t be the last. Great review. You’re covering all the usual stuff very well but the added ‘thinking out loud’ stuff is exactly what everyone does when they’re considering a new bike. Am I considering the Speed? Only if I rob the local Post Office. Cheers mate!

Having had both street rs and the speed rs. For me being 6:2 the speed the one tank little more bigger and little higher

The breaks arent better. They are literally the older versions of the ones on the street rs (and those are the older versions of the ones on the new speed i.e. top of the line brembos)

The Speed Triple is not a recent design. Triumph has been making it for years. The Street Triple is too manic and flighty. Doesn't the Street Triple have cruise control too? You said you rode it before this bike? The colour scheme of this one is horrid. Its either white/red or the black/red but not horrid yellow. Looks bloody awful. But the Speed T is still massively better than the Street T. It's like father and son, man and boy, teacher and pupil. It's a more mature better bike. Has a lot more presence.
