Thanks for the video.. to be honest I was considering the height and tilt vs just tilt.. and never even considered this VESA mount adapter until I watched your video. Is it really that big of a difference? And if so can I ask you which mount you used. Also, sounds like you struck a great deal at John Lewis was this in shop or online 😅 trying to see if I could get just as lucky on a deal… do you think we might get some deals on Black Friday?

Remember though, originally the pidzoom charger is big and noisy because it is an upcycled power supply from cell phone towers. So using it keeps them from being tossed and ending up in lanfills.landfills.

not sure if its worth it installing these on my v11y.. I heard its got better water resistance but I cant find any info/comparison video I took my wheel apart because of a flat and the bearing part looks the same as yours in the video, I'd have expected they've added a bearing cover but I guess not

Also which tire is this? Same as the sherman max? ive gotten recommendations to put a sr241 on it for winter but the knobs rub against the top no matter what, I thought I was going to fry my motor😅 I returned it and might just give up on winter riding, the little space it has on the inside feels very dangerous

Hey there! Great question about the KlydoClock! The screen of this unique timepiece is a Full HD display that operates at 8-bit color depth and 60 frames per second, making the animations smooth and vivid. Its exterior design features modern touches with a black powder-coated aluminum frame and laminated birch wood, combining sleek and classic aesthetics. This balance between tech innovation and timeless design really sets the KlydoClock apart from traditional wall clocks. Hope that helps!

🤣 I really love the stock tire on the V14-50S. I would not change it at all. For its purpose I think it is awesome😉 Perhaps you are looking for a small Cadillac, but V14 is closer to a multipurpose dirt-bike. 😅 Agree, the soundwave feature on the V12 is great, but V14 has just a buzzer, (V13 does have a speaker but soundwave was not implemented). We can still use the EUC World workaround but all EUCs should have soundwave. I miss the classic Inmotion voice and customizable messages as well as the USB port. V14's screen I understand it is more simple due to its offroading purpose. It is under the top shell, very well protected. Scratches may get on the shell, not the screen. Way cheaper and easier to replace compared to an expensive touch screen. The stock pads are decent, though the lower front module could benefit from being as wide as he rest of them. You found two common positions to park the Adventure, but there is a third. On its foot, push it back even more and you will get a "service position" with the motor in the air, easy to clean, check and hand turn to find the air valve. Your issue with pedal height might just have been a matter of adjusting the shock preload. It’s essential to set some sag - a bit of travel used simply by mounting on the vehicle. But I have seen no youtuber adjusting it... If there’s no drop when you hop on, you may need the black softer shock or just try loosening the coil tension (preload) by releasing two full turns of the nut. Use a 55-62mm hook wrench that you cut its handle to 2/3 of its length to fit the small space. Remove RL battery to release it, or RR battery to tight it. That simple. Get about 25% of SAG and you will absolutely love it. 🤪 I also needed some time to adjust myself to V14's thickness compared to other Inmotion wheels, but for its purpose, I fount that having my feet more separated gave me more torque for turning the vehicle between obstacles than with thinner models. I tested the plates to increase the side angle of the pedals, and found it ok for road trips but for offroading I get more control with a more flat pedal angle. I see what you’re after - maybe the V18 will get you there. For me, the V14-50S is ideal for trails and off-road; it’s heavy, but not excessively so, and it is balanced by its instant response and very high power. It lets me tackle trails I couldn’t manage with other wheels. For a lighter setup, you can always try its dual mode (only two batteries). It’s not beginner-friendly or meant for simple commuting. In rugged mountain terrain, the V14 is exceptionally nimble, powerful and responsive. It climbs everything. For commuting, the V11Y might be a better fit, especially for seated riding; it’s slimmer and taller, IMO making it more comfortable in urban settings specially if equipped with a Heidenau K66 tire. 😉

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but I know that honking your horn a lot when you're behind a person is to prevent an accident, but I think that if you're on a road made for people, you should slow down to their speed and pass them at the speed of a pedestrian, because as a pedestrian it's annoying and you don't know where it's coming from and many times there are people using their headphones and they won't even notice.
@MADpack
@MADpack 17 күн бұрын
Thanks for the comment but let me explain… first is a red way not pedestrian road people can use them but they are cycle paths, second if the person don’t hear the horn and I see her looking or moving to the side I slow down so I understand your point but since is a red way and the horn is there to slow people to know that I’m coming I don’t really see the problem :)

I have to agree, even if I'm driving and there's someone pulled over on the side of the road, I don't zip by them at full speed just because there's 45mph speed limit. Limiting the speed delta to nearby objects is fundamental to not just their safety but your own. Same thing even if it's a bike path, the maximum speed limit only applies in ideal conditions with no obstacles, you should adjust your speed to the conditions. Finally, I don't know about your city, but in mine, what everyone calls the "bike path" is officially designated a mixed use trail for all kinds of usage. Pedestrians deserve the same considerations as cyclists. Even for no other reason than common courtesy to build community appreciation, we should slow down around pedestrians and be good ambassadors if we want to keep seeing EUC adoption. It costs us nothing to slow down and then speed up again.
@MADpack
@MADpack 15 күн бұрын
@s0d4c4n thank you so much for your comment. Let me just say two things that you guys are not considering… one speeds on a fish eye lens seems always higher and makes the road looks more narrow… I always slow down when I see someone and if I have space and people have already looked to me is when I go when you are in a car you don’t slow down towards everyone you cross to say hello to the next driver or person that cross the road. In more than 40.000km I never provoked an accident with a pedestrian. I pass for 6 years in front of a school and I became friend with some parents and some kids they like to hit my hand when passing. You guys see a 20min ride video and you assume to know who I am as a rider. I’m not inconsequent person and I think of you were an old follower you will know that :) have a great day

Hell of an annoying sound on your 'move, coming through!' alarm. Doesnt help that you beep it like 10 times either, lol. Why cant they make alarms like that that sounds like a bicycle bell.. So much more pleasant, less 'invasive', and they actually sound more like a polite 'excuse me, coming through'. One ring should be enough.. If they dont turn around or move, I always slow down to almost a walking pace when passing, so that people wont get startled or annoyed by EUCs in general. They are already frown upon, no need to make it worse. Thanks for your insight on the V14 though! Ive been wanting that wheel for a while since it was announced, but have come to look past it due to it being a bit too big and heavy form my use. Im back to looking at the V14Y. Its been on sale on and off for months. Recon they want to offload a lot of their stock before releasing new wheels? Whats your take on the V18 by the way??
@MADpack
@MADpack 17 күн бұрын
I used to have other horns before with a much less invasive sound and you know what would happen? People would ignore the sound even if you were behind than at 1m of distance and they will not move a cm… so for my safety and theirs I think having this sound is much better because people care when they hear it

To be absolutely fair to V14, this wheel is meant to be ridden on trails first and foremost, hence the screen is way different compared to their former wheels. As for the pedal height, its higher because as I said, its meant for trails and you don't want your pedals to be clipping on branches or rocks...just saying!
@MADpack

I owned both v14 and v11Y. V11Y Lightweight city and light offroad commuter, fun to drive, feels relaxed and comfortable on 50 km/h speed and eats the road bumps pretty well, the best commuter style wheel on the market. V14 Heavy, aggressive and more responsive wheel. Requires more work to drive and does not feel too relaxed on 50 km/h+ and road bumps due to smaller tyre size. Better for heavier offroad, jumps/tricks and heavy duty usage. For the beginners or the first wheel I definitely recommend v11y, it will satisfy most of users needs, light weight and fun to drive. V14 is definitely more narrow niche wheel for pretty speccific needs. And even for extreme/offroad I would not reccomend 16 inch wheel and if I could change it I would go for 18inch with the specs smth like Begode Blitz. P.S. imho there is no sense in 16inch offroad wheel, as 18 inch passes bumps much better and the amount of torque is still enough for everything, besides it gives you much better speed stability for the city and makes it more all arounded. So if v14 would be 18 inch it would be much better for everything and I dont really understand the need of those 16inch patton/extreme/v14 class because in every area 16 inch size gives more cons then pros, the only pro is maybe a bit better maneuverability, but the difference is really not significant. Even for skatepark jumps and tricks many riders name 18 inch lynx as their preferred option then 16 inch wheels, it is more stable on landing etc.
@MADpack
@MADpack 16 күн бұрын
Thank you for your message and sharing your experience. For me I prefer a 16 inch wheel is more responsive and I feel always more connected to the wheel my main issue with 16inches is that I can’t normally put a 90/90 tire so good tires are hard to get but I feel much more in control of 16inch than 18 once again is a preference but how popular the 16 inch are that’s why you see so many :)
@Padel84287
@Padel84287 14 күн бұрын
@@MADpack Yes, but average riders dont use those extreme wheels and dont go over 35km/h so 16 inch is fully enough for them, if we go over 50 km/h, the stability of 18 inch over 16 inch is significant. So the right question is how many people would chose v14/patton/extreme over lynx if they cost the same? About the tyre for v14 I read many reviews and tried some tyres myself. Try michelin city grip if you want more agile feeling or Pirelli angel scooter for more high speed stability. I guess the first one you will like more for your needs in the city.

The v14 is an off-road oriented EUC. I did not see even one short video here riding it off-road. The v14 is waaaay better EUC than the 11y, if you would compare v14 compare it with Begode Extreme, Lynx etc and try riding it off-road. If you would like to buy a all-round EUC you need the Lynx all 16 inc wheels are off-road oriented.

Thank you for your message. And agree with you the v14 is a great wheel for off road the suspension is insane and the tire give you a lot of grip but a lot of people also use them like me in the road, in muddy roads and red ways that have very bad conditions. Been for off road or not doesn’t change the fact that by been top heavy not having a setting to change the pedals lower like I put is not an advantage. I do off road but I don’t do jumps I do t need to be so high on my v14 makes sense?

I appreciate the cast pedals, the cheap pads, the low-amp charger and the lack of a seat because these items are necessary upgrades for experienced riders and the quality of aftermarket parts exceeds what is reasonable for the manufacturers to include given the weight and price constraints. All reviewers seem to complain about the poor quality of these upgradable accessories but I’m 100% on the side of lowering the cost of new wheels by skimping out on the replaceable features. Preferably, the manufacturers would offer these wheels without chargers, without trolley handle (yeah, Apex), without pedals, without seat and without crash protection because all these items are superior if aftermarket sources are available. In the future, I’d love to see wheels offered without tires because that’s a major expense that is more often changed out than kept OEM. Serious performance wheels (above 40kg) should also come completely disassembled to discourage new riders from skipping the vital step of learning on lower powered wheels, which (I personally feel) is essential for developing one’s own anti-wobble skills and lower-speed agility skills. I understand that I’m in the minority with this opinion but ultimately cheap accessories are better for the consumers because a greater percentage of the manufacturer’s costs can be applied to those parts that are mission-critical, like motherboard quality, firmware quality and battery/motor power. ❤

@@MADpack The lowest hanging fruit in the EUC business is to upgrade all performance EUCs to an Axial Flux motor, instead of the radial flux motor that is industry standard. This reduces the motor & weight/volume by 50%-70% for the same power output. A-F motors are beginning to be mass produced for scooters and motorcycles and there are “off-the-shelf” options that could be implemented by next year… if anyone wants an easy competitive advantage at only a slightly higher cost. If you’d like lower weight/ higher performance EUCs, advocating for Axial Flux motors is the path of least resistance w.r.t. incremental improvements that are inevitable. Keep your eyes open for this becoming the norm in the next 3-5 years.

When talking about getting started in EUC at a bargain price, look to the V5. It is the little brother to the V8 (lower power, shorter range, lower top speed), but very comparable to the E20. The price point is almost the same as the E20 as well. If you don't want to risk a lot of money, but you want to actually learn on an EUC, look at the V5, you may be surprised.

I would agree to change tire if you're street riding only.

I like the content and your reviews, and thank you for your work ! My question is why are you honking the pedestrians multiple times sometimes… ? You are basically in their zone, pedestrian zone … I think maybe a beep-beep right…and only when it’s needed… Or not at all just slowdown around them and be nice… Because what you’re doing definitely doesn’t make them feel uncomfortable… Look at all these people are like : Wtf ? I understand if you would have been on bike lane though… Cheers ! 🎩
