Dygo is wrong about the vast majority of this but time and space are intrinsically linked, you cannot bend space without also bending time. Edit: Disclaimer, I recognize that's how it works irl and that fiction can always deviate, and that's extremely likely since characters mention space-time in other scenes, so the fact Madara mentions space specifically means Guy probably was only bending space. Even if spacetime followed real life rules, it's the sheer density of chakra moving at such a speed that caused the distortion and not the speed itself. I can't recall any Boruto era characters using an attack that dense that moves that quickly, even though the characters themselves are faster.
