Oh, that's funny 😂 I Loved the ole Chopper 1 !!! It was literally fun to use. But I remember splitting apart more than a few base rounds we'd put the wood on. It wood 😏, just fly through and split both 😂 You didn't have to swing it hard all the time. It's a good splitter. I miss my fireplace now. Splitting Was Fun. ... and you won't hear that often

THIS IS AN AXE. KLAX IS NOT AN AXE.
@Vigula Жыл бұрын
You're going to cut your leg off one day with that chopping action you're with using the regular axe in the second half of the vid. You should be bending your knees a bit so that the axe can't travel through the log and not stop on the supporting log. Your action should ensure the axe head lands pretty square on the log under the one your chopping as we saw earlier.
@divermike8943 Жыл бұрын
From what I've seen the Chopper is one tool you want. But you also want a regular maul. That is depending on the type of wood and the application, rail splitting versus just firewood splitting, the Chopper could be advantageous. But in the end, simplicity wins. The Chopper seems to be best only in certain conditions. It's got pins and moving parts. That means possible maintenance issues. A solid chuck of a properly shaped metal head is probably more reliable and just about as effective. But again. Depends on what you are doing and how often.

I've owned two chopper ones and have used them ever since they came out.. definitely my go to axe for splitting..I have a maul, and have had others.. nothing beats this, but to each his own..ú

Dude, where did you go??? I used to love watching your adventures with Sintax77. I hope that you’re doing well, staying away from these so-called “vaccines” which are very harmful, and prepared for the future ……. your backpacking & firearms experience will come in handy very, VERY soon. I bought the 2.0 liter Toaks pot. The lid isn't a skillet, but I added a little nonstick frying pan and sawed the handle off because I have a potlifter. It all nests and I can keep my utensils, Trangia and gas stove inside.

ok, but you didn't show just how hard you had to work, on getting it apart, Ive tried, mine is older, it has stainless steel, column and I've tried using small screwdriver in the hole and wrench... the hole started to stretch, you show just with your hand...... yeah

I think I'd prefer to get the bail handle version and then buy the pan separately. Only problem is I don't know if the bail handle version's stuff sack would fit the pot and pan together since the pan adds about an inch of height, unless Toaks uses the same stuff sack for both versions. **EDIT** the two versions do include different sized sacks, but Toaks sells the bigger stuff sacks on their site for $4. In the end it costs more but I think it'd be worth it to get all the features I'd want.

Thank you for the review! Do you think that’s an ideal size for 2-3 people to cook rise or other food? Can a smaller size be enough?

This is what I am interested in as well. I am looking to cook food for 2 people (2 six foot five guys) I’m curious if I should get the 1100, 1300, or the 1600 pot/pan combo. Any tips for me?

Hello! Thanks for your video! Do you think this 1600 pot will be compact in a backpack? (48-55 liters)? On the one hand I’m looking for a pot that I can also cook food and not only boil water (for 2-3 people). On the other hand maybe it’s too big for backpacking. What do you think?

Are you still carrying your little guy in this backpack in 2021? I am curious on the practical lifespan of these carriers, they rated for 50lbs (about 5yo), but that seems like a lot to out of shape dad like me.

The easiest way I've found to keep my dog from running. AS A PUPPY. I used a rope about 25 to 30 feet long and after the first 15 feet I tied a knot in the rope. The attached it to their collar. Then I walk with her in my woods as she drags the rope behind her. If I keep walking and she she stops I call her. If she does not return to me or my side. I go and tug on the rope until she comes. If we're walking and she gets a scent (deer, bear, coyote ect) and will not break the scent on command I tug on the rope as I KEEP walking. The whole 30 ft length is for the running part. When they start getting a little faster and you can't catch them you simply stomp on the rope. Seems a little barbaric but within two weeks they are fully off leash trained. I know can talk my dog for a walk of leash and she chases nothing. She also knows that she is only allowed to wonder that 30 feet from me. And if I say hang tight she immediately returns to my side.

Hey bud, your stove didn't work because your canister was too cold to output the proper pressure. Keep one in your jacket before you use it and it'll run fine
