Nice one again. I had few cases where I was disappointed with FSD 1. It starts rolling forwards on a Red Light 2. The Computer is unable to determine the vehicle size to make a cut [Hurry Mode]. We have a One way 4 lane road. I was on the left most lane and the vehicle made a very close cut into the lane next to it. Then again it wanted to make a lane change but stopped in a very awkard position blocking two lanes. I had to disenage as it was not safe. Not sure what happen but seeing some regression.

Hi Vishnu, definitely find alot of regression similarly on point 2. Haven't seen it roll on a red though, yet

That's pretty interesting. It looks like FSD is great in bad weather but not ready for unsupervised (but kinda close). I can't imagine cybercab in this weather, what happens if the lenses become gunked up with snow and dirt? It would be interesting if they made a modified cybercab for the snowy regions that had more traction, more weatherproof camera's etc. That would make me want to take it more than perhaps a normal car that I had sitting in the garage.
@DavidSaintloth10 күн бұрын
It's a great torture test but to be honest the reality is no one should be driving in these conditions anyway. Secondly, given these conditions, I would say that the fact that the AI is still very young in its learning of snow driving situations, both very well for it in the future. It simply needs to move a bit slower and be more deliberate about assuming that certain road divisions are what they are. And yeah, it'll conduct a human in it very safely, but incredibly slowly just as humans do when they're getting these crazy conditions. Your best bet is to not drive in these conditions And if you do drive very very very carefully. It's the case with humans and it will be the case with autonomous vehicles.

Since 13.2.1 I've noticed a big regression on Autopark's ability to identify available spots. On V12 it wouldn't miss a single available spot, now it's pretty common for now spots to show up even when there are cars parked. I hope they fix this soon. As for snow driving, I tried it this week in both Edmonton and Calgary and it performed WAYYYY better than 12.5.6

Multiple disengagements on what is a short and simple drive for a human. FSD is years away from Level 5 Full Autonomy. It's going to be mandatory Supervised Driving for a long time. I'm glad I didn't pay 15k or 12k for this buggy software .

Well, disengagements were not safety critical. Driver was super cautious as he should be since he is liable at this point. It’s about accelerating progress of FSD. @@TeslaColdEnvy Overall great, but a few gremlins safety wise they can improve on: Occasional safety disengagements on 13.2.2 and 13.2.2.1 for: wrong lane turning in some cities, (turns from through lane, goes through from turn lane) the big safety one: merging lanes or folks coming on from onramps to the freeway. Does not slow down and let them in if they are ahead and to the right of you merging in, instead doesn't acknowledge their need to merge and speeds up closing the gap. Multiple folks have had this one, including myself. Doesn't seem to acknowledge their blinker and clue in they are merging. Also, if they are alongside and at a coincidentally matching pace, and need to merge, doesn't slow down, doesn't speed up to allow them to merge. Pretty much ignores mergers in those situations often, leading to dangerous side to side collision events. Disengagements to prevent them from happening. Finally, many reports, and I have experienced this too, of poor lane centering, usually hugging the right side of the lane more than most vehicles, and on the interstate this puts it way too close to semis to your right, and also close to the lane edge on high speed left hand bends in the highway. Just needs an inch or two better lane centering.
@TeslaColdEnvy12 күн бұрын
Thanks for the details! I experienced the first few instances about mergine, I had a couple of instances of unsafe Merging due to lane ending it just does not anticipate or sees those yet.... Soo hard to capture these on video will need to go out for a long highway drive tomorrow or day after.
@TeslaColdEnvy12 күн бұрын
Also I heard and seen some clips about the centering but never experienced it first hand, wonder how I can replicate that
