Setup is in the description :) My first tip is get used to being on the right side of the car, if you are not used to it. I found that I steered too much to the left in left corners, which I sometimes to the opposite in left hand drive cars, steering too much to the right in right corners, guess it a perspective thing. This car seems to have much more low down grunt than the modern gt3's, so be a little more gentle going on throttle out of corners. Slow the car down more than usual before corners, it does not do good with trail braking (in slower corners) in my opinion, instead getting the car through the corner with the throttle. Reduce the fast damper settings, if its to unstable over curbs. Good luck!

Takes a little time to calibrate my brain to it, sitting on the right side I noticed that I was steering too hard to the left and too little to the right. 😵💫

there is something about raceroom physics that makes the driving feel so natural and the car behavior so predictable... for me only the current ams2 can compete when it comes to physics. if you disagree please let me know your thoughts.

Yes, Raceroom is king for me on the driving aspect, I might have a bit of bias since it was the first sim for me and have many hours in it. AMS2 is great, it has potential, dont think its quite there yet, steering feels a bit floaty and unresponsive, better in some cars worse in others. Same for Iracing and ACC, I feel more like a passenger than a driver, if I had as many hours in those sims as with RR maybe it would be better. AMS2 runs so well, much better than RR, I am always above 100fps with high graphics. With Raceroom I know for certain when I am doing something wrong and need to adjust my driving, I just dont get that in other sims. AC in my opinion is good like RR, but there it obviously has alot to do with who made the car mod.

do you think I should use ABS and brake 100%? because I look at iracing clips and see people only hit 70% brakes and i’m so confused on what to use right now

After the tyre update I went from 98% pressure to 80-85% due to ABS being very sensitive. Have not experimented enough to give an opinion on ABS settings, it depends also what sort of pedals you have and how its set up in its software. Turn off ABS and see where its optimal for you without locking up.

Very impressed with your driving. At the start you are the fastest of all and take three positions! But then you might get a little impatient and take a chance that ends in a spin where you ended up second to last in the field. Then you drive steadily up to tenth place again before a third of the race has been run. It was incredible to watch. A few laps later you were about to overtake on the outside of the hairpin turn. Hard to see in the pictures, but I think you got a little nudge. It ended for the second time off the track and lost valuable seconds. But you kept your position in the race as you had built up a good distance to the cars behind. Then you continue to drive faster than several of the competitors and manage to get up to 6th place and finally end up there. It is extremely strong driving! And you have to be happy with that. Congratulations! Next time you will end up on top as champion.. If you hadn't had that spin, you would have won both the race and the series. At least without any of the accidents. The fact that the commentators do not comment on this strong run says more about commentators who are more concerned with small talk and joking about things that are not relevant to the race. They start well by commenting on the chances and opportunities for the various participants, as well as referencing overall positions. It is good. But they have to follow the race, because sometimes they are surprised that, for example, you had taken more places. Then they don't follow properly. And a producer who sits zapping and scrolling down the list is not good for us who are watching. Pictures camera angles that change through the entire field in 2-3 seconds are just annoying. Don't know how to give them feedback on that.

Tobias and Mike Stofmeel was to strong with this track and car. If I could have gotten past Barrier who was driving very much slower than me I might have been able to finish 3rd or 4th, but Barrier was a bit agressive on defending which had me off track in the hairpin mid race and I had to avoid him early in the race where I spun of track and went all the way back to 17th. Its sour, but thats racing.

Thank you, I will share it with you tomorrow if I get time. But the setup I used for this race was mostly to reduce the bouncy front, and trying to make it turn as much as possible with throttle. The race winner Tobias used mostly default setup, how you drive this car is so important since setup does not help that much with this car.

Pretty curious: front arb 70,6 and spring 160 nm doesn't exists in the setup page for this car and so on. Are you sure about those values?

Same as the other gt3 Porsche, it pre tyre update so values are not the same.

@heat147 Have not had time to adjust this setup to the new tire model, but heard 0 preload on the diff is good on this Porsche. The setup should still work somewhat, only Springs and ARB needs to be adjusted, and maybe higher TC Slip. 1-2 clicks up on wing.

Wanted to give a try to your setup but there's no correspondence between your settings and those i find in the menu page. IE front arb there's no 72,2. Front spring doesn't goes under 200 and so on. Maybe last update changed those things?

Yeah, this setup is from before the last tyre model update, so it wont work, I will update the setup if I try this car again on nords.

You mean the Nürburgring. Because the start of the lap was on the Südschleife. Which no longer exists. Part of it became a nearby road, whilst the rest was demolished.

Congratulations - second best lap time! What a round. It floats close up towards the perfect! No unnecessary corrective braking, no skids optimal race lines and perfect flow. You hit the corners well and manage to keep the torque in the car when you let off the gas. Hits the timing very well with thrusts out of the turn and avoids tendencies to skid. You win thousands on that. So the key words here is smoothness, flow and precision. Well delivered. You could step in to Dennis Olsens Porsche, or any car in real DTM and ended up really high on the results.

No this setup wont work for the 992. This setup was made to get rid of the default understeer of the car. The 992 is more oversteery on default setup.

Though I'm new to those games but, I kind of need to know which racing sims let the car catches air (Blowover is called in Nascar's reference), I got a list that I'm sure doesn't: Gran Turismo(s), both AC and ACC, most Simcades. NTG 2011 lets it artificially (unnatural blowover) and no signs with the succeeding games. Ones that I'm sure: Iracing and BeamNG. I'm not sure about Rfactor(s), R3E, Automobilista(s)(including Project Cars'). Aerodynamics are so underrated, like almost nobody talks about it.

To enable joker lap logic: Single Race => Presets => Rallycross. Hopefully the AI will get faster in newer updates, as well as more multiplayer features such as a proper heat system.

No, but I had to adjust the setup to the new physics. I have not tested it after yesterdays update with the Porsche pack, I am gonna test it tomorrow. I will update you on my findings 🙂 now that we can control the TC Slip it may even be better.

@@paulkorsun😂, I did test it again with the same setup that I have put in the description, with some adjustments to the tc cut. And I think I may be able to cut 3 seconds of the laptime in the video. I was 1 second faster in sector 1 and 2. Will update the setup in the description this evening.

Good racing. What could been different between 2. and 1. place. Pit strategy, car setup, less fuel weight, tire pressure, or different tires? Now you are on expert level. So fine tuning on details is the next level.
