Great vid! The AVP isn't currently in my price range but I do own a quest 3 and use it for similar productivity reasons along with entertainment. The entertainment value is far worth it for me with immersive 180 vids, 3d movies, social environments and solid immersive and social games. You make a great point that we already have sufficient tech for work purposes so how does VR level up our work? Maybe w what it does best with immersion and bringing remote workers together from any distance?? Lots to explore and I'm definitely convinced it is the future of how we will work.

Thanks, Christian! 😊 It’s awesome that you’re using the Quest 3 for both work and play. I agree-immersive experiences are where VR really shines, especially for connecting with others remotely. I have to say, I was absolutely blown away by watching movies and videos on the Apple Vision Pro. It's not the most productive use, of course, but it’s such a fun and immersive experience. It really adds a whole new dimension to entertainment! Looking ahead, I’m convinced as you are that this is the future of work. Once we overcome some of the current friction-like carrying another device and the price-we're on the brink of a new era of collaboration and productivity that I’m really excited about. What’s been your favourite use case so far? I’d love to hear more about how it’s fitting into your routine!

if you can find a "career" that aligns with your life, you're life is bullshit. real humanity has nothing common with the artifice of Bullshit World. Stop trying to fit into the non-existant hyperreality of modernity and start living in the real world where there aren't any false constructions between you and the universe. Stop taking advice from dead idols that simulate real people. Stop letting photonic paintings of stars stand between you and the real night sky. fuck your job, go live your live life

I really enjoyed your video, Kai, specially that my channel is in the same niche, just smaller😅 Nice cinematics and good conclusions about the Vision Pro. I also believe that is a good tool, and in certain circumstances can really make you enjoy your work. However, if someone is missing the basics of how to be more productive, how to analyse a problem and solve it, how to organise a process in the most efficient way… then no sense at all😊

The money was wasted as no improvement happened. It is true, if the working environment is 'happy', staff are less resillient. Too tough, they cannot take it. Too good, they get complacent. Sir I've heard and observed various interviews of successful people saying that most of today's high earning and top positions in corporate world or business are filled up with sales-people so what is the secret or training of sales people which makes them so great and valuable apart from other trades also which books should i read to understand and implement those strategies to grow in my career as design and site engineer which involves selling as well to commercial construction clients and consultants...
@KaiDLeifert
@KaiDLeifert 4 ай бұрын
Thank you for this insightful question! You're spot on-sales skills really do play a crucial role in climbing the corporate ladder and securing those top-tier positions. It's true, many leaders you'll find in high-earning roles have a knack for selling not just their products, but their visions and themselves as well. Now, I'll be the first to admit that sales and marketing haven't always been my forte-it's an area I've had my challenges with too! However, I've found incredible value in "Building a StoryBrand" by Donald Miller. This book does a fantastic job of breaking down the core principles of effective communication in a way that's both engaging and easy to grasp. It helped me a lot, and I believe it can offer you some golden nuggets to apply in your role as a design and site engineer, especially when dealing with clients and consultants. And speaking of books, I think it's about time I start including a "recommended reading" section in my videos-just kidding! But, who knows, maybe it’s not such a bad idea after all! 😉 Thanks again for your question. Keep pushing boundaries and exploring new ways to blend your technical expertise with the art of selling. Here's to your continued success!

Could you explain what one should be doing strategically in order to increase value & influence without being trapped in taking unwise steps or staying around losers.. First of all, your question around a strategic approach for work relationships resonates with me. I feel that this topic is worth its own video and I will put this on my list! Thank you!! Personally I had some great work relationships that stayed completely professional and a few (very few!) that lasted long before our professional paths parted. I don't think there is a one size fits all but it depends on how you wish to integrate your work with the rest of your lifestyle. Again - great content for an upcoming video! And finally, books. There are so many resources these days and I find it hard to pick a favorite. So let me go with a couple of choices that are probably not mainstream. Both of them are not purely about relationships with others but then I beleive that growing as individuals will also determine who we interact with. I highly recommend "Lost Connections" by Johann Hari for its profound analysis of human interactions and "Not a Life Coach" by James Smith. Both of those books resonated with my personal values but even if you disagree with the authors you will learn quite a bit!. Thanks so much for your inspiration and support!

I do think that assuming responsibilities beyond your current job is indeed a good way to get promoted. Whether there is a "grudge" by promoting someone may be different from company to company - but in my experience any promotion has to be justified by the person recommending the promotion (usually the manager) and it usually also reflects positive on them so there are some good incentives at play. Personally, I was always ecstatic when I was able to promote someone internally in my years at Finance but I appreciate that the culture can be different everywhere.
