The critics. Who cares about them! They don’t like anything that’s good! I love this movie. Harve Presnell does a nicer job than Robert Goulet, & I’m Canadian!

November 20, 2024. The narrator was right. Clint has been around making films for a long time from the point he was doing High Plains Drifter. A little over 50 years to be exact. He’s 94 and his latest and 40th film as a director, “Juror #2”, has just been released.

I was a young fireman when this place burned, I came very close to not being an old fireman. Colton was a cool place at one time with beautiful buildings. Sad what it is now.

I love these old BTS trailers, presumably made for the dumbest of all cinemagoers . "Burt Reynolds. He's an actor too" 😂😂. Why not add "That's a movie camera. And that man standing behind it is a cameraman" 😂😂

aside from the music, this movie had NOTHING to do with the wonderful stage play...Marvin was only the worst singer I ever heard, besides Eastwood

I knew about these Lone Pine Conventions for years. I regret never going to one. To have met my Western Star heroes would have been a wonderful memory. Thanks for video recording these people for Western Movie history and the fans that never made it to see them in person.

I watched this movie at Sonora California, queen city of the gold rush days, in 1969, fresh from my military service. Being from Michigan, as Clint Eastwood character stated in opening of the movie, I too fell in love with those hills going into the mountains, and the people that lived there. The gold rush spirit was still alive and well among them. Thanks for the memories, Sonora.

Wow! Major Flashback! I was at this event and seeing George Gobel reminded me I have a picture of me sitting on his lap from that night. My brother was there, too. He is the spitting image of our grandfather, Sunset. We were only in our late teens back then. If I recall correctly, it was also in the Sportsman's Lounge that night that Billy Ray Cyrus was the singing and playing guitar.

These tape recorders were ten years ahead of anything on the market back in 1974 😀 portable, colourful compact recorders weren’t common until the 1980s.

With all due respect, everyones learns from somebody else. Even Shakespeare. The Beatles. Fred Astaire. Sergio Lione was King of the Western genre. Joe Kool, who starred in three of his blockbuster hit westerns, just anglosized it for english speaking viewers.

Great musical arrangements from Nelson Riddle. He wrote all those fine swingers for Nat, Frank, Dean, etc., but his ballad writing and film score chops were superb as well.
