This looks staged, like a publicity stunt. It's convenient that there's no footage of the motorcycle that allegedly damaged Rogers' bike. It's also convenient that the ~only non-pro in Australia in 2002 with a $10,000-bike happened to not only be at the race in the right position, but his bike also happened to be the same make and model as the one that needed to be replaced. Also, the commentator somehow got a good enough look at the bike to immediately know it was a Colnago, and also immediately jumped to the conclusion that it must be a spectator's bike, even though that's such an unlikely scenario that other explanations for the source of the perfect replacement bike at the perfect time would have been considered first, and when finally considering the explanation that it came from a random spectator, the commentator would have expressed some disbelief/astonishment, rather than being so ho-hum about it. And where was the team car with the replacement bikes? What good are they if they aren't around when needed? Did they stop off at the Quick Sack for some beer and cigarettes?

That's a brave call! I've not see anything over her 3 years in the WWT that suggests Neve is going to be a cobbles star but she was definitely impressive in the UAE this season - reminded me of when she looked super strong on the Norefjell climb in Scandinavia a year or two ago. Open to being surprised on this one though!
