I will be starting college for the first time soon and I don't want this transition to be problematic for me. I want to know if you'd recommend that I wait until I am older since I have been contemplating a lot(I am wearing extenstions now in a twist style). I have had my hair relaxed since as long as I can remember so I haven't had to do much with it at all!

Ever since I was a child, my hair has always been thick and healthy, thanks to my mom's diligent care. However, just before I began high school, it suddenly became tangled and unmanageable. Unsure of what to do, my mom took me to my aunt for help. Thankfully, my aunt was able to untangle my hair, although she had to cut the middle section as it was severely tangled. From that point on, I started using relaxers in my hair, and I have continued to do so until now. Now I am ready to embrace my natural hair again because I didn't know what type of hair I have.

I need help!!!! No heat??? My roots are about 3 inches fluffed but mid shaft is straight. I’ve gotten relaxers for over 30 years then stopped in October 2023, and so far 3 keratin treatments last one was March 1st this year. I’m so lost to what to do next. I don’t do weaves or sew-ins. I’m just lost. I feel I need a relaxer which is so much easier and convenient. I have no idea what products to use. I’m just clueless
@keaundraprice

Hi! I've say twist outs or braid outs since you don't do extensions. Big chop is an option, it will be more manageable at that point.

Lol you really are ignorant if you think you can't be in an organization and still a Christian. That's the problem with Christians, so many within our religion want to use everything else as a crutch for your choices and your mistakes. The organization had NOTHING to do with any of that and if you didn't want to be in it anymore just leave, instead of looking for clout

This is powerful!!! And yes, it truly is not easy but very much worth it. I've been celibate for 8 years now, but I battled in the flesh for years with masterbation and pornography. I identified the root more so in the past year, but I am on path to continue to do the healing work on it as well and I have been walking that journey out with community as well In short, I was delivered this month from masterbation and pornography 🙏🔥🔥🔥 God is so good

Thanks for your transparency & sharing your journey. Do you think in 2023, people seeking to join Black Greek Orgs, Masons, Eastern Star, & etc. now have access (due to Social Media & the internet), to know everything entailed in the membership intake process & initiation rituals, such that nothing will be a surprise to them? I guess I'm asking, is the secret not so much a secret anymore? If a person does their research can they say that they didn't know what they were getting into (both the good aspects and the controversial aspects? I'm not questioning a person who joins and changes their mind and denounces, because as you mentioned, people's values and interests change. I'm asking (and forgive the rambling), do you think a Sophomore in college/university in 2023 has the full picture of what membership in an org is vs. a Sophomore in 1989. Thanks!

Hello! I would suggest going under the membership tab, search the chapter locator. It will give you the contact individual for your chapter, that would be the best contact to start with. My initial contact was with someone who was listed on the website as the membership representative for the chapter I was apart of. I hope this helps!

I’m convinced enough to not join after debating, however something you said about spirituality. Just curious as to why it’s not Christian like to do as you see fit. Or what works for me. I grew up in church, I have a lot of foundational beliefs but I live how I believe I’m led to. Through truth.

Hello, thank you for your comment. I think I understand your question... I'll speak for myself by saying, doing "as I see fit" or "what works for me" isn't biblical. With everything (not just this) I intend to align my actions not just with what I feel led to do, but what lines up with Scripture. That's the short answer, but I hope I answered your question. 🙂 Thank you for watching.
