I don't run energized elements so think of jade sphere as a mostly defensive tool rather than boons. In harder fights, running out of energy will be a big problem. In easier fights I could probably be using it more to get some quickness but generally I don't use spheres unless I need that combo field because the build doesn't allow spamming it.

I don't have much experience with hammer in wvw but from what I've seen, it's just as good or better damage and bigger aoes but low mobility. Low mobility makes roaming challenging but without considering that, hammer is probably stronger.

I'm interested in this as well because the stab really seems valueable, but on the other hand it's a nice chunk of extra stats we miss out on by taking Staunch.

It's good and I've run that with an earlier build but I'm used to playing around no stability so personally prefer the extra stats more than stability.

Bloodlust. It's on second weapon (staff) shared between templates so I'll just stack it from staff weaver if there's an opportunity between roaming. Otherwise I don't bother with stacks.

So Relics: Nayos, Demon Queen, Astral Ward (particularly for small team), or Isgarren. First two are probably best in most situations but gotta choose 1. Sigils: cleansing, vision, doom, battle, generosity (with vision), or bloodlust if you're stacking it. Too many good ones and I don't think any are best all the time. But I probably run cleansing like 70% of the time because condition spam is so common while roaming. Just, sometimes it does nothing. Runes: Anything power + X. After power, I'm not sure if condition damage or precision is better (without vision). Dragonhunter is good with vision sigil but otherwise ferocity isn't worth it. So otherwise, pack, brawler, reaper, elementalist or other similar ones. I'll be testing a different build after June 25 patch which generally buffs ele so things may change a little. @@johnwick8476 Cele, demon queen or astral ward relic, probably other good ones too. Any rune with power or condition damage though I think power is slightly better. Switching around sigils, there's lots of good ones so it's preference.

It's not clouding. On Mag we call it clouding when a ~10+ disorganized group fights an organized group. There's 1 short clip here that is clouding, 5:25. That analogy doesn't make sense for 1-3 players which is most of the video. It stops being roaming scale at 4-5+ players but that goes to the 2nd half of the title.

Saltspray Dragon scarf, Nightmare Court robes, Lightning-Blessed Zephyrite gloves, Astral Ward legs, Foefire boots

This build only works for roaming if you have no competent enemies focussing on you and/or you have allies to back you up. There's very little defense once you get pushed.

But it's a common weaver staff build that hasn't changed for a long time. I think it might be the same wvw build that's on metabattle.

Staff is good as a secondary weapon to be used in 3 second bursts between Shroud or Pistol. Long chill and poison to reduce healing, fear is always useful, and 14s bleed to cover other conditions. But this build is celestial with 100% fury uptime so it also has some power damage. Staff 4 transfers 3 conditions using your condi damage stat so it's good when fighting someone with condi stacks to transfer back to them. I'll have more harbi videos and other specs in the future. Just wanted something short for now :)

GW2 has almost normalized gear. It takes 1-2 months (time gated) to get a full ascended gear set which is the best stats you can get. So probably every player here has the same quality gear. But gear stat choices will be completely different depending on what role they are built for.

For an example: small scale arenas (5v5), every day, average players battle grounds, 10+vs10+, every week, not enough player Mass pvp (WvW/ZvZ/RvR) , every month, a lot of player.

​@@lpernrfaliboy3077 There are 3v3 arenas, and 5v5 objective-based PvP matches (hold points for your team to win). You can basically play those all the time through either random queue or arranged teams. I don't know about average players, it could take a few minutes for the queue to fill or longer depending on the time of day. There is ranked and unranked modes for arenas. You can also make custom PvP lobbies to 1v1 or whatever. The Arena PvP isn't as popular as WvW. WvW is basically 2v2v2 with 2 allied servers on each team fighting across 4 different maps that reset once every week. WvW is very active. I think there are more players now than in 2012 when the game was new. On NA servers between 7-10PM EST there are probably between 120-150 players playing in WvW on each of the 3 teams, more during weekends. On reset night on Friday, every map is queued so that's like 720 players in the maps and a lot more waiting in queues for each server matchup. Servers are international so there are always players in WvW, but some times there are a lot less. Like in the middle of the night or early morning (NA) there will mostly be Australian and Asian players in WvW. When there are less players on there are still a lot of 1v1s and small scale fights happening.

The weaver staff build has remained the same for a long time. This build code should work directly in ingame chat: [&DQYpGx8fOBt1ABcBvgHrAJAAkAD1FfYAlwASFwAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABWQAA] If it doesn't work its: air 3 2 1 fire 3 3 1 weaver: 3 2 1 Gear is a mix of zerk/marauders/dragon pieces to stay under 75 or 80% crit rate (with food). Zerk adds more damage but the 4 stat options give more health that can translate to more damage in practice. I like around 40% zerk. Runes are deadeye or scholar. Same thing but you adjust armor differently. There's a number of sigil options so that's personal preference but the stacking sigil should be Bloodlust (power) if you use it on weapon swap.
