I love your garden. What's the name of the white Veronica that you said you plant every year? Time on video at 13:24 mark.

I tried lavender as well, the roses,hibiscus, and sunshine ligustrum are doing fine, but the lavenders just struggled. Finally I pulled the trigger and made the edit 😥

Great video, turned out great! I have the same feeling as you about lantana. It smells terrible. I have some on my front swoop and wondering if I should keep it if it will overwinter. May I ask what zone you are in? I’m in California, zone 9b.
@RootedHomeandGarden14 күн бұрын
@@Ashley_Christine I’m also in California 9b. It overwintered for me and I think it depends how hard of a winter we have. I think some years it will survive and other years it will die.

Great job! The garden looks so tidy and fresh after the cleanup. Broccoli and leeks are such healthy choices. Can’t wait to see them grow .🥰

Hello! I totally understand. We have two puppies! Haha😅 It's been a tricky summer here in England. Keeping motivated has been difficult. I'm starting to feel a tickle of excitement for next spring and summer but first there is so much clearing to do. I'm hoping to get my veggie patch going next month. Thank you for sharing. 😊🌱🐞

I’ve never grown watermelon, how did it come out so easily? 😳
@RootedHomeandGardenАй бұрын
I had two watermelons and those things spread all over. They look huge but that’s just because they vine. They were only growing at two spots so it is a really quick clean up.

Saw you are somewhat close to me. I’m about 1.5 hours south of Sac. Where do you find your Proven Winners plants?
@RootedHomeandGardenАй бұрын
@@Ashley_Christine everything in this video was from Green Acres. I have found some proven winners annuals at Home Depot and others at nurseries around the area.

Just finished…weed seeds travel by wind, creatures, etc and love a new garden bed. Within days there will be weeds popping up in that new garden bed.
@RootedHomeandGardenАй бұрын
They do travel, but it doesn’t happen that fast, at least where I live. We don’t get much wind. This isn’t a permanent solution. It’s just a quick way tamp down the weeds so you can get a handle on it.

This only lasted for about 5 months or maybe less before weeds started coming back😢
@RootedHomeandGardenАй бұрын
Yeah, I wish there was a permanent solution to weeds. The big positive with this is it’s quick to get the weeds out if a large area to clean up the yard. It also gives you some time to decide what to do with the area.

We had Star Jamine growing on a trellis when we lived in California and the scent came in our bedroom window. Delightful! Thanks for the tip about spraying after pollinators have left for the day. I'll remember that.

Thank u for this wonderful video.. Can i use sand to propagate rosemary from cuttings ?? I had failed a number of times using cuttings from stems bought from Supermarket which was meant for the kitchen usage.. other herbs like oregano, peppermint, thyme i did it successfully.. please advise..
@AcidAllah3 ай бұрын
i successfully propagated rosemary from cuttings just by placing them in water. it took about 4 weeks for them to root
@RootedHomeandGarden3 ай бұрын
I wonder if the issue was getting them from the grocery store. Perhaps the cutting was too old to propagate. I’d try a fresher cut.

I would put the heuchera under the shade of the tree & the supertunias in the full sun in place of the heuchera.
@RootedHomeandGarden4 ай бұрын
That’s a good idea. The tree grew a ton this spring m. The Supertunias did amazing last year in that spot, but things changed quickly in May.
