Where I'm from we have a vocational school system where kids train with a company 4 days a week and go to school one day or train for several weeks and then go to school 5 weeks per semester and they get paid like 700€ the first year and then the second year it's 900 and then goes up to 1100 the last year. A lot of kids do that instead of high school.

Great job young man. I would like to personally commend you for a job well done. Meaning following the rules given to you by the Parole Officer, being a positive example for your younger brother and for the other youth (both men and women) in the surrounding community through your actions / conduct and just the way you present yourself. I wish you nothing but the best and continue happiness, success in your chosen career and freedom.

This is so wrong!!! This should not be happening to a 72 year old woman is the U.S.A. (When she was living in her car). I hope and pray she is still in that apartment. $2,000./month is ridiculous. When I got married 59 years ago, our rent was $65.00./mo.

Driving down wages and making people more desperate than ever. It's proof that there never really has been a skills gap, just people not willing to work for so little with tens and hundreds of thousands of school debt hanging over them. Now they'll never pay that off with GEDs getting their jobs. Gotta compete with the Chinese throwing themselves out of windows, all so that the CEO can make bank.

I am suing thr Federal Government for paying race based reparations to Native Americans, Japanese Americans, Mexican Americans, Ukrainians, Holocaust Survivors. All are taking tax dollars from FBA tax payers . If we dont qualify for reparations then nobody should. It is illegal to tax my money to pay foreign nationals reparations and deny the taxpayers themselves. No taxation without representation. Hypocrites will pay!! like it or not

You're going to have a lot of frustrated college grad employees explaining basic science concepts to their manager who refuses to see reason.

I had an amazing public school science education and was fully prepared for this kind of work out of highschool, but a B.S. was required for even the lowest jobs, and often a master's plus experience. I got an incredible college education as well, but employers are really not looking at hiring highly educated scientists any more. It's great that newbies can get into the field this way, but there is a definte need for the experience and education that scientists like me have, especially in biosciences. I worry this is about companies saving money, and risking safety/accuracy in exchange. There should be all levels of scientists working within these industries for proper balance. I have a teen and find the average highschooler has zero chemistry knowledge...its shocking.

Wow, aren’t there any elder protection laws to help the elderly find a place? Any emergency housing for older people? Couldn’t she stay with family temporarily until something comes up? This is horrible that this woman had to go through this!! I’m glad in the end she found a place. Did she end up staying in MA, or did she have to move to another area to find reasonably priced rent?

When I was graduating from college 11 years ago , there were a plethora of biology students who did not know where to apply for a jobs who had just earned degree from a top tier university. Maybe these companies are not reaching out to the right places to find people. There are a plethora of biology Majors and chemistry majors who were desperate for jobs who were never reached out to who don’t even know that these companies are desperate to find people… I’m just shaking my head and how sad it was, but I’m glad that these young students are finding a way into the industry.

It's 2:38pm on a Friday and the commute from Boston to Worcester is 1h35m, much of which is soul crushing, rage inducing traffic on the pike, which would cost most a $3 toll and $7 fuel (at 25-30mpg). Those saying driving is still the better option are so cucked by the automotive industry. But to a better point, we shouldnt be commuting that distance in the first place. Your life would be so much better with a short commute, so either find another job or move closer to the city you work in. I live 5 minutes from my office and every day is a dream. Get some.

When the president tells a liberal judge to make sure his opponent is found guilty, the judge will manipulate his courtroom to stack the cards and that is what happened 100% It is painfully obvious as the charges are from 20 years ago and trivial at best
