how does action compare to mp11se ?
@KawaiPianosGlobal27 күн бұрын
Hello Mustafa, thank you for your comment. The MP11SE uses the original "Grand Feel (I)" keyboard action, while the CA901/CA701 use the latest "Grand Feel III" keyboard action. Both keyboards share the same action design, featuring 88 long wooden keys that pivot on a balance pin like a seesaw. The GFIII action incorporates a number of changes and improvements over the original GF action design, such as "Ebony Touch" black key surfaces, as well as a revised key-to-hammer actuator mechanism. Both keyboard actions are considered among the best available in a stage piano and console digital piano respectively. If you are already familiar with the touch of the MP11SE's GF keyboard action, the CA901/CA701's GFIII action will feel very comfortable for you. Can you pls tell me how can i record my audio without loosing sound quality ?
@KawaiPianosGlobal29 күн бұрын
Hello Mustafa, thank you for your comment. As noted in the description, the audio in this video uses a combination of the instrument's Line Outs mixed with the "room sound" produced by the instrument's speakers. This may account for the different in sound that you're hearing. Moreover, the ES60 has fewer piano sounds and piano sound adjustments (Reverb, Virtual Technician etc.) compared to the KDP120, which may also be a factor. To listen to a selection of audio demos recorded from the ES60's Line Out connectors directly, please refer to the following URL: www.kawai-global.com/product/es60/#demos Regarding your question about how best to record your KDP120, we recommend a portable audio recorder, such as the Zoom H5, with one of the KDP120's headphone outputs connected to the recorder's Left/Right inputs. Hello Kawai. I Have been a faithful Kawai customer for years. It all started with a Kawai ES520 I bought to take with me. At the time I had a Charles R Walter upright. But I really enjoyed the Kawai ES120 so I decided to get a real Kawai and I bought a brand new Kawai GL10. I enjoyed that Kawai GL10 for two years and just a few months ago I traded in for a brand new Kawai GL40. I love this new Kawai GL40 but it is too powerful for my small apartment so I need another high quality digital with a realistic grand like action. Which model would you recommend to give company to my Kawai GL40? I’m very used to a grand action as I have been spoiled with the Kawai GL10 and now Kawai GL40 so it is a necessity. Thank you

Hello Gustavo, thank you for your comment, and for your patronage of Kawai instruments! Regarding your enquiry, if you are seeking a digital instrument with a grand-like keyboard action, we would recommend either the CA901 or CA701. However, for the ultimate grand piano experience, the Novus NV10S, featuring a grand piano keyboard action, is arguably the finest instrument in its class. You may be aware that Kawai also produces GL series grand pianos with both ATX4 (AnyTimeX) and AR2 (AURES) hybrid systems, allowing the instrument to be played with headphones, or for the volume to be reduced when in AURES mode. The advances in digital sampling and sound reproduction is absolutely stunning; they've 'almost' nailed it. However, there is no way, yet, to reproduce, digitally/electronically, the warmth, richness and fullness of the 'missing overtones' of vibrating strings. However, given the costs of the Grand Pianos necessary to create the acoustic experience, it is a wonderful and affordable alternative.

Hello Frank, thank you for your positive feedback. It's perhaps worth noting that the audio used in this video was recorded from the instrument's Line Out connectors. Is this as good as the Kawai ES 120? I'm not sure which one to buy. I like that this comes with the strand and pedals.
@KawaiPianosGlobal2 ай бұрын
Hello CJ, thank you for your comment. The KDP75 an ES120 share the same "Responsive Hammer Compact" keyboard action, and both feature the sound of the "Shigeru Kawai SK-EX" concert grand piano. However, the ES120 offers a number of other features, including Bluetooth MIDI and Audio connectivity, Line Out connectors, a broader selection of piano and non-piano sounds, and some other enhancements. The benefit of the KDP75 is that the piano is self-contained with stand and pedals, however it's possible to add a designer stand and triple pedal bar accessories to the ES120, transforming it into a self-contained and very compact digital piano, that is also extremely portable. Please refer to the following link for a side-by-side comparison of the KDP75 and ES120 specifications: www.kawai-global.com/product_comparison/detail.php?n=kdp75,es120&ct=36 Here is more information about the HML-2 stand and F-351 triple pedal accessories for the ES120: www.kawai-global.com/product/es120/#options We hope this helps!

Hi Jeff, thank you for your comment and question. The CA701's Lesson function can be a little involved, however please try the following: 1. From the Music tab, select Lesson Books. 2. Selected the desired Lesson Book and Song. 3. When the selected song starts to play, tap the UP arrow to expand the player. 4. At the top of the screen, tap the > (right) arrow to show the Lesson controls. 5. From this screen, it is possible to adjust the tempo, metronome volume, transpose, and A/B repeat point. If the song supports it, it is also possible to mute either the left-hand or right-hand parts. If you have access to a tablet, we would also recommend the PiaBookPlayer app (available for iOS/Android), which supports displaying the notated scores for many of the lesson songs, as well as other features such as metronome, left-hand/right-hand muting, pedal page turning, etc. Please refer to the PiaBookPlayer website for more information: www.kawai-global.com/product/piabookplayer/ We hope this helps - if you have further queries, please feel to contact us via the Kawai Global website: www.kawai-global.com/enquiry/ .

I’m having trouble being able to record my performances. When I hit record I only have two options a midi recording (which doesn’t keep the original sound once I export) and a wav that is recording all ambient sounds. I was really disappointed by that. How can I record and get the full real sound of this piano?
@KawaiPianosGlobal4 ай бұрын
Hello Marv, thank you for your comment. As you correctly note, the PianoRemote app supports two different methods of recording: MIDI and audio. When MIDI (SMF) recording is used, the app will capture the keyboard and pedal movements performed by the player. When this recording is played back on the piano, the sound heard should be identical to that of the original performance. When audio (WAV/FLAC/AAC) recording is used, the app will capture the sound produced by the piano using the device's built-in microphones, meaning that ambient noise will also be recorded. In order to record *just* the sound of the CA401, we would recommend using an external audio interface connected to one of the instrument's headphone connectors, then connecting this audio interface to your smart device. Alternatively, you may also wish to try connecting the headphone output directly to a portable recorder (Zoom etc.) and bypassing the PianoRemote recording features. For more information about recording, please refer to the following FAQ articles: www.kawai-global.com/support/faq/how-can-i-use-the-pianoremote-app-to-record-my-kawai-digital-hybrid-piano/ www.kawai-global.com/support/faq/how-can-i-record-the-audio-produced-by-my-kawai-digitalhybrid-piano-onto-a-computer/ We hope this helps.

I have a suggestion to make the music stand higher from the keyboard (or make a mechanism with which you can set the position of the music stand) to prevent injuries to the cervical spine. Because you have to bend your neck unphysiologically when reading the lower lines of notes.
@KawaiPianosGlobal4 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment. Are we correct to assume that you are referring to the NV5S music rest position? If so, this position is largely dictated by the upright piano-influenced piano cabinet (the music rest position should be comparable to that of a similarly sized Kawai 'K' series upright), however we will pass on your feedback to the product development team for their consideration.
@sarcosil4 ай бұрын
@@KawaiPianosGlobal Yes, this applies to the NV5S. Some acoustic piano manufacturers have done just that. They moved the hinges and the music rest bar higher on the same keyboard cover.

Thank you for your comment! Most, if not all, digital/hybrid piano product videos produced by Kawai Japan (and subsidiaries) capture sound directly from the instruments' Line Out connectors.
