Peak output from synced production cycles vs average throughput belt throughput can be tricky. To prevent backing up in machine output buffers, use faster belts. I find it better for lines to backup on inputs rather that at the outputs. The only times I use slower belts is small sections to restrict flow for load balancing (like valves).

Hi there. Total beginner in satisfactory (just bought the game) and in factory game in general. I've been building on my own until I hit tiers 5 and 6... And felt a bit overwhelmed about how to tackle the rest. I've build some "optimized" factory, but very messy floor. I had the feeling that I was doing something wrong, and obviously my logistics wasn't going to work for the next phases. So I started to look for tutorials on buses and logistics, but most of the content actually only explains that buses should be raised and contains belt... duh. + Every walkthrough starts in northern forest or dune desert. Obviously as a noob, I started in grassy fields. And then I found the serie, watched it from the first episode even though I did it all. And I must say this is the most well explained things I've seen so far. And I don't mind about the errors, actually I like it : content creator building incredible factory in once as if it was nothing tends to demotivates me. The game is about trials and errors. Seeing thoses and how to fix them is really inspirationnal. SO anyway, thanks for your work and time

if you build your coal generators near a coal deposit couldn't you just keep the generators running at maximum?

I know this is a super-old video, but a quick question: Given the *absurd* power surplus you have, why not overclock to up production on inputs rather than underclocking end products? I understand that it is less efficient, but you have a *lot* of headroom for this point in the game; if you weren't going to use all that power production to accelerate moving through later phases I'm not sure why you'd go through the trouble of building out coal power to that scale instead of something smaller (say 1 bank of 15 generators instead of all 3.) Edit: Oh, throttled by belt tech. Duh.

I'm confused! The updated diagram on your site says the bottom floor of the water extractors should be 41x25x36. However, there seems to be no room for the additional 4, up from 37? Where do those tiles comes from? Did you move the whole thing or something?

I checked again. According to your readme.txt it says 'added to the right side of the picture'. But there's landmass there... How did you fix that? I tried to build IN landmass, but that's not possible :S

Another fun vid and build, completed the floor plan with your documents and am now getting better at guessing the way you will put things together. It went like clockwork right up until I realised i had all my machines were placed one foundation too wide. I realised this right at the end of the build as I was putting in the walkways so rather than move everything my lower floor is one foundation wider. I could not face moving everything . Great work again, at the rate I am going I will be caught up with you very soon.

I’m new to the game and it’s funny because I started in the same location and I felt like I really messed up because of the limited space 😂 I’ll have to keep watching to see how you expand because I just finished phase 1 and I want to delete everything and move the hub to a more flat open space, but I’m not sure if it’s a good idea or not

I think vehicles would benefit greatly from analog control input support, it's already much easier to control vehicles with native (Steam) controller support but steering and throttle/brake are still choppy (all or nothing). Having proportional steering and throttle/bake controls would make movements much smoother to begin with, at the moment the game only 'sees' controller inputs as a string of single key presses instead of smooth curves between min/max. A kind of system like path/block signals which trains use could further help automated driving, if you could restrict max speed at intersections with signs/road markers (mainly for self-drive mode).

I think purpose of power tower is aesthetic. You can bring cables with pool line, but it look ugly and make troubles when moving with the vehicles. This way long range power lines look way better and not come into the way of infrastructure.
@TheRezro2 күн бұрын
Machine placement wise, it is great factory. Aesthetic wise it is ugly as hell! There is no reason to have foundry section on the platform. You could bring ore from the tower, what would look way more natural. Furthermore I would bring all containers to singular room. It would save a lot of time instead running all over place. Whole construction could be way more tight then it is.

I'm doing completely futureproof factories, 10 hours in, only have steel plate and copper wire fully automated(also keeping everything organized). It's weird having normal copper wire production, yet once I get better belts I will have better copper wire production then I have had in any of my end game worlds. Definitely a challenging thing, prob wouldn't be good for a youtuber, but for a normal player, its really fun.

I have already commented on this vid but after a number of hours of trouble shooting I now have rock solid power. First Premise If the logic is sound(which it is) then there is no reason for the power plant to not run efficiently. If your generator is struggling and you note the issue is not enough coal by looking at the generator and seeing it pausing waiting for the coal. 1) Check all your belts and ensure they are all mark 2, I discovered that a couple of belts that appeared to have been upgraded were not. 2) Check all your lifts are mark 2 3) Are the miners and generators clocked properly Water Start at the pumps and see where the water gets too. If water not getting as far as the pump square....redo pipes If water has made it too the pumps but not to the next floor then it is most likely the floor hole If water makes it to the manifold but not into the pipe for the generator...re do the pipe for the machine same for coal If water makes it to the pipe by the generator but not into the machine...then the pumps are the likely issue Pumps Tricky little suckers When you click once to make an object placement, zoop etc you get a ghost outline of the item and with the pumps you get a pump direction indicator in the form of a direction arrow. The second pump position is indicated by a thick blue line round the top of the pipe. Position your second pump either directly on it or fractionally below, Darren advise there is some glitch and places it just below. If pump indicator blue pulse is heading down turn your pump around First pump needs to be placed similar height to those that are working Second pump will need to be snapped to the blue line I found the position of the second pump is critical for ensuring the water gets "high" enough to enter the machine. I hope this helps anyone who has struggled with trouble shooting the water and coal issues this trouble shooting guide is not the only way to do it but it is the method I used and (touch wood) it seems to be working great
