19:08 why Brundisium ? Wasnt ostia literally Rome's "portal". Also it was called londinium. I think A Albion was just a fancy greek name of british isles.

Brundisium was a trade port that bridged the gap between Italy and Greece. I thought it’d be somewhat fitting as its the island next to the edge of the map

hi Darren of all the games ive watched you play this one your thinking is a bit strange if your income per minute is red then you dont have enough population your income is tax so more population equals more income if ytou had spent the time building pop that you spent chasing pirates you would be in the black with income try increasing pop by 25% min per episode

Hi, I get where you're coming from but it's not strictly true. Population class and how much of a certain population you have plays a bigger role. If you just increase your population, say of farmers, your demands will rise but the costs of those demands will be low. If you increase your engineers, then the costs of new engineers are extremely expensive to setup their production. Then there's the matter of which goods you supply. You make more money from beer than soap, but beer costs much more to setup. So the profit margin is actually greater on soap than beer. However, you need it to get to Engineers. So overall I agree I should probably be trying to scale more generally, but I like to meet all demands of a tier and then scale. It's just more manageable and it avoids the bottom falling out. If you continue to watch, around episode 15, we encounter a very interesting problem. If you have just even -1 worker workforce, certain buildings completely stop (rather than just operate less efficiently). This is in part due to modded content.

Don't be afraid to restart and try again. Focus on fulfilling all needs, that's what makes you money. Sell ships constantly to make more money from sails. Buy land shares to make extra money. Manipulate the news to get more income. Focus on one chain at a time to not get overwhelmed.

Which version of Anno 1800 are you currently playing on? With game update / Patch 17.1 - The islands on the mini map are coloured per player, which makes it easier to see / follow, in terms of who has which island. It's currently not that easy to see.

I would love to still play some Anno 1800, but I can't because of the boring activity of managing the 1x1 fields. That includes the initial placement, fixing the arrangement if some are lost when the farm is moved, shuffling all the fields when the number per farm changes due to specialists in the guildhouse. Would you like for automatic management to be a feature?

Glad you're doing another Anno series! I've never commented before but I had slowly made it half way through season 2 of your last 1800 series before you started this one. A nice surprise. Honestly the new game announcement also got me into the mood for Anno, but I'm doing Anno 2070 with the ARRC 2170 modpack. I really miss some of the quality of life features from 1800, however 1800 can make my computer cry, and 2070 has a special place in my heart as my first Anno game anyway Hope you have lots of fun with the series~

Very fast-paced series so far and I don't mind for the early game, but I hope we will reach the more chill beauty-building phase not too far in the future. With the mods, Crown Falls should be perfect for that, seeing as you have some GIGANTIC epic buildings now at your disposal.

I don't think that was a bug with the seeing multiple trade ports. My assumption is that as long as one of the boats satisfies the material requirements, it will show you all the closest possible build sites. Since you had 3 ships, it displayed a build site across from each ship's position.

You have a way of playing where every time you start a new series, I go and download the game to start it again as well. I didn't realize you could separate your production and living, I assumed the workers had to be mildly near their work site. Great to see!

Tip regarding paved roads. Did you know that you can «upgrade» your dirt road with the upgrade tool to a paved one? That’s much easier than paving it yourself. You will also save time and pavibg mistakes. You’re welcome 😊
