I have the Kelly moove it’s functional but small. I was at Paris for over 2 weeks in August both my husband and I didn’t get an appointment. I went there for Christmas for 2 weeks, again both my husband and I didn’t get an appt. I did a walk in and I was able to get B25 on December 28th. I never thought it would happen to me. I was exhausted and drained. I talked to people that had an appointment, but SA still claimed there have no bags. It’s very difficult to get a bag in Paris now. The appointment system makes no sense.

@jasminebaby3375. WOW you are def one of the lucky ones. We noticed that the shift from the very end of Nov to December, was like night and day. Nov was pretty slow, and that is when we got our walk in appointment too, but December all bets were off, it was so busy the SA's were just trying to keep their heads out above the waves of Hermes lovers! @ I’m about the same height and weight as you and I don’t think I can pull off the 50 especially when I put even a few items into the bag since it’ll be pretty heavy to carry. I’m with you on the 40 size and when I spoke to the SA she said that it wasn’t uncommon to get those so hope we both score in the future! I had a wonderful time as always in Firenze! Love the food and the vibes of the city. I hope you and HH wife are having a wonderful trip!

So I am posting this comment from Florence and I was just in the Hermes store earlier this morning. The SA who helped me was very nice and told me that Italy and the rest of Europe is separate when it comes to history which I thought was interesting. She told me that they don’t really look at history for quota bags and if I was local I could put in an order (she called waitlist) and I could get something in 1-2 years. She did offer me a size 36 briefcase but it was too small for me. She told me they still make the 40 size but they don’t normally order those for customers as not a common size. Anyways, I wanted to share information hot off the press in January 2025. ❤

@clarencekwong888, Thanks for the comment. Yes the 40 is hard to find, especially with the double fold. I find that often the UK boutiques and the Hog Kong Boutique will have these types of traditional bags for men, but they qo quick. I hope you have a great rest of your day!

@ I did watch your Hong Kong video and I wasn’t surprised that the 40 size would be easier to obtain given the smaller Asian frames typically. I just wasn’t sure if they would even order/stock those because of it. The journey continues! I’ll have some Paris comments to share when you upload your next video on your current Paris trip 😎

Walmart s working berkins is going to ruin the value of berkins no longer an investment just a nice bag to have . Selling all mine now before there is a flood of Hermes bags on the market.

@eduardomarques9655, Thank you for your comment. I have been seeing alot of anxiety about these, I am not sure yet where i fall. But i think it could actually be a benefit to Hermes as form can be mimicked well, but quality cannot. But once folks get exposed to the design language, they usually aspire up the the quality scale. At least that is part of how we came to Hermes. SO i guess we will have to see. I hope you have a great rest of your day!

Ahhh, I enjoyed your review. I live in Vegas and have SA's at two of the locations you covered. I agree that most people who complain are because they did not get offered what they want, which is a bag. The word NO is hard to swallow to most. I've learned to build my relationship with my SA's. When something is available they let me know. I don't expect anything to avoid disappointment. Happy New Year🎉

I've been to Vegas twice this year. I have found that it is very hit or miss with the SAs and the service you receive. Whereas at Wynn on my previous visit I did not have good experience, on my last visit, I met a wonderful SA. Same was true at Bellagio, where I found a gem of an SA. And at Crystals, the service was polite but that's about it and that was fine. Vegas receives about 40% of it's visitors from outside the US. And as one SA at a luxury jewelry store told me, it is in the sales person's best interest to be friendly and helpful to all. Someone might not be able to afford a piece you covet today, but a hot night at the tables or slots, and they may be back the next day to purchase it.

Happy New Year. I visit these Hermes in Vegas every year and I’ve never felt anything other than welcoming and helpful service from them. Constant support and kindness and I’m a black woman in America I feel like some people are so entitled and sensitive for sure and it’s radar to an SA.

I guess Its all part of being in public, but can be frustrating , when their group is in such disarray it becomes really distracting. Love the Topanga boutique. Bought a Kelly from Rodeo Drive. Timing was perfect because Topanga boutique opened soon after I bought my Kelly so I switched boutiques. Topanga staff much friendlier and I was able to get a Birkin recently. Another good boutique option in the U.S. if you travel is Oahu/Waikiki. I used to go there every year and was able to get a Constance which at that time was still considered a quota bag. They seem to have more inventory and tax is half what it is in L.A. Staff there also very friendly.

I have a Kelly elan in chèvre chamkila and I can maaaaybe hypothesize that the reason why they don’t make bags in chèvre in big sizes is because the beauty of chèvre is the center spine which should be in the middle of the bag. I would guess it’s hard to have a large piece with that nice center spine. Wish I could send you a photo!

@Jetsethermes, Thanks for the comment, that is a pretty good theory, although I really like the the spines on bags, for example on the exotics we have , it is always the center of attention where the scales meet. I can see how Hermes would want a consistency across the faces of the bag, but there is something beautiful about natural asymmetry in some cases. I hope you have a great day!

We like the H store in Bellagio too. My husband got me a Picotin 22 in Ardois ( new grey) there which I absolutely love. But no quota bags😅

@minoominouei5284, That is a great question. In Topanga at the grand opening, I chose the one who's first impression I thought would vibe the best with us. Luckily, I was right! When we are international, often we are the first people in the door, so I choose the one that seems like the have the most juice.. Its more of an art than a science i think. @minoominouei5284, Thanks for the comment, Yes & No, so we had set a pretty narrow parameter of what we wanted, and this Kelly was one of the options that fit within in that. So we asked for the size and general color palate, but we didn't specifically ask for Gris Misty. I hope that answers your question, I hope you have a great day!

I grew up in an egg cup household, the point is so that you can dip your buttered toast soldiers in the yolk!!! Congrats on your QB, hopefully the next one is an exclusive spec that you’re more jazzed about! Wish me luck on mine, it didn’t happen this year but hoping for 2025.

I think the great thing about this years quota bag is that it gave us butterfly when we saw it, but didn't hit us like a thunder bolt. This tempered appreciation will make it infinitely more usable for us. So its not the most exciting bag we ever saw, but it will be probably one of the most used. @ I totally get it! I feel similarly, if I was offered a Kelly in Togo or Epsom I would take it happily but I would still be looking forward to that dream bag in box or barenia. That’s going to be tough for me at my boutique though since SF is so competitive.

Gris Misty an amazing color. I have a card holder and passport cover in this color. I am also not a fan of green and this color never reads green IMHO Enjoy!

In terms of spending, my experience matches yours in Southern California. I waited less, but I also was pretty open when it comes to offers and I was getting 2 bags a year. I’m on an Hermès break but I guess it’s getting more competitive by the day here.

@Justme-x4h, Thanks for the comment, I think it is the general consensus that is where the spend is at, but the time changes based on spec. I think things are getting slightly easier, but only momentarily, because Hermes needs time to adjust to the changes in the Asian markets. But now it seems like they are bringing QB production back to be short of demand... Speculation.. I hope you have a great rest of your day !
