@realmccoy18, Thank you for the comment, I definitely think they have some super secret criteria laid out to determine the tier level of the clients, and its not always just money.... There may also be some subjectivity to it or maybe even heavily influenced by the culture and leadership of that specific boutique... That's why sometimes we just have to float around and see which one fits with us... Not all of them do.

@helloaiya, Thank you for the comment. Yess... from our rudimentary research on the sybols on the exotic Kelly we got in Hong Kong, it was also produced multiple years before we got it. So maybe these bags sit around? Maybe there are excess and they are releasing them slowly... Maybe the symbols are incorrect. I guess one of the beautiful things about the bags, is that because the design language for the CBK's are so consistent and legacy.. a couple of years probably doesn't do much to hurt the value, its the wear and tear to watch out for. @ I did some research and found the bag that I bought is a Special Edition that came with a blue navy interior and a blue silk dust bag which was missing from my purchase. So it appears to me that the bag was not selling for 2 years or someone has bought and returned the bag and swapped the box & dust bag?

There was not really any discussion of the Pre-spend for the SO, but since we have a pretty lengthy relationship with the boutique, I would assume it factored in; on their back end. @HandbagHusband Thank you, yes I was very pleased to get this piece. It’s a perfect bag in my opinion. I have some answers to your questions - 1. I use this bag not as an every day bag (although it would be perfect as one) but more when I go out shopping or when I’m travelling. The capacity is really amazing so it is very versatile, and the nice wide shoulder strap is perfect for a long day of wearing, although I typically prefer holding it by the handle. As it is technically part of the new men’s collection the new handles on this bag are reinforced and extremely solid, one of my favourite parts of the bag. 2. Even though this is part of the Kelly handbag family, as this is part of the men’s collection I don’t believe this is considered a quota bag here in AUS, but it teeters on the edge. This could also be because it is new. 3. I think Togo leather is perfect for the dimensions of this bag. At 42cm long it definitely is a decent sized bag (think of it as a more day to day version of the Kelly Voyage) but the nice blend of stiffness and slouch that Togo leather offers works really well on this bag. The fact it cinches like a true Kelly also keeps the bag’s structure really nicely. I can see how going up to the size of a Kelly Voyage would definitely start getting more slouchy, so I would say you would have to definitely enjoy the more slouchy look to opt for a 50 size in this bag in Togo as maintaining structure would become more difficult. Same goes for getting a HAC which was the other piece I was originally interested in, and may look at getting later. But I found this particular bag so much more interesting and elegant, while also encompassing those lovely masculine proportions. The Kelly Maxi is basically a Kelly version of the HAC 40.

@@HandbagHusband hi! thank you for responding - I feel that the bag is so soft and a bit more delicate. With it being so tiny it will not really make much of a difference because you can't really put much in there so because of the size there will be less wear and tear. I can see why it would not be the best use for larger bags though. Thank you for the amazing videos.

@lawr17, That is a really interesting question. I think that for my personal taste, if there was a 24/24 in a larger size .... maybe 40 or 50, it would feel more masculine for me, and practical.OOOORR! If they mad a backpack, cross body , "A Dos" version, like they are doing with the Bolide backpack!!! My general usage for bags is, for objects that are too big or awkward for suit /pants pockets. The messenger bag ticked all the practical boxes, and has a more casual feel, than my Kelly Sac A Depeches, and fits a more day-to-day nitch in my daily rotations. Also the pocket squares from the the Women scarf section are so much more interesting than the ones in the Mens section...it almost feels like Mens pocket squares are just an after thought by Hermes.

@@HandbagHusband chèvre is more lux than epson. It is much softer than my orange epson KTG. I’ve never felt box leather…or swift which I would love to own one day. I am not careful with my bags so maybe swift is not for me 😄

@rg344, I total agree...It seems that the way that supply and demand dynamics work, for anything, but in this case for Hermes, does lead to some very intricate strategies. I also agree it will not last, we see the changing ability for consumers to be able to participate in these types of products; and the real question is which will fall faster the supply or the demand.
