It's so interesting to hear this from a professional animator because I had the same feelings but couldn't put my finger on it. I really think they shouldn't have made a second season, or they should have made it shorter. The creators have done some interviews in the last few years and they often say that they want to explore other characters, regions, storylines, etc. They really lost their passion for this story and they should have just put it aside because this season is so inferior to S1 in many ways.

Can i import props (FBX) to iclone?
@startanimating69523 күн бұрын
With Iclone 7 you must use 3D Xchange software to import FBX files to Iclone. But Reallusion has discontinued 3S Xchange, so I assume that you can now import it directly into Iclone 8

I'm not going to lie to you, Man. Sometimes, you are really out of touch. So, pay for a parallax background, and above all, give it credit!! I bought a course about character rigging from your Udemy platform, and to be honest, I regretted it. I realized the course was all the same as your KZbin videos that teach rigging. A word of advice, my friend: try to focus on the computer screen and less on your face. 80% of your videos, we see your face more than the work you're trying to teach. I am sorry, I am not trying to offend you, but just being honest.

I suggest you to upgrade your setup, with Blender+CC4+Iclone8+Cascadeur, because cc4+Iclone8 with accurig and accuface have a free blender addon that helps, Cascadeur also have a blender add-on, Cascadeur can save you a lot of time with AI assisted animation, and you can find a huge amount of free resources for blender or buy in any marketplaces, because blender can import even unreal engine files, blender also have a lot of cheap add-ons for your environment, and Cascadeur isn't too expensive is only $70 a year.

Thank you sir. Do you create the 3d environments like buildings or any other option?
@startanimating695Ай бұрын
I can create basic construction of buildings inside Iclone, and then I can use props from Daz3D to furnish it. Or in some cases you can purchase entire scenes from Daz3D and comes with buildings or rooms already built and furnished. I like to build my own rooms and buildings inside Iclone, and then use props from Daz3D to furnish them. That way I can make the scenes my own and make them look the way I want

Cartoon animator's timeline is really a jumble...The lipsync really needs work also...No matter where I animate the lips on the grid it simply does not look in sync.. G2 characters had front and a proper side...In new models the sides usually look really weird, there's no true or complete side angle... You touched the main issues (4:28) that I am having. I'm not too fussy about much else eg Shadows etc. Thanks for your video.

This is gonna be funny if I would have to install an Unreal Engine to animate my Blender models that I would use in Godot. Animating in blender for video games seems impossible. Does it have a functionality to change timeline lenght automaticly depending on what animation I edit? Seems like it doesn't. This thing was made for making pictures, not games.
@startanimating695Ай бұрын
I know that Iclone works great for games and integrates perfectly with Unreal Engine. There is also a way to link Blender with Iclone if you want to use characters from Blender. But Iclone is a bit expensive where Blender and Unreal is free. So that is a downside

I often question if a cartoon needs to say something, but I guess philosophy is on every writer's mind. Besides, we can at least "show, don't tell." A common theme I've worked with is where the root of evil really is, which I would argue depends on who you are and what you do. I have a concept called Bloodstone, where a timid young man is transported to a barbaric Conan/He-man/Mad Max-inspired world, where he's forced to choose when to fight, and when to talk things out.
@startanimating695Ай бұрын
Love your way of coming up with ideas. So how far is your Bloodstone idea? Story development, or already in the animation process? What is your plans for Bloodstone? Just a project for yourself, or any other ideas?
@ReviveGuyvАй бұрын
@@startanimating695 I've gotten as far as roughing out the concept, drawing some characters, as well as an "episode" pilot. What bothers me is, since this show is a reference to existing shows, it's not as genuinely mine as it could be. I still fondly think of it, though. At the moment focus is on a Comic Fury/Webtoon comic called Dragon and Knight, focusing on an anthro dragon warrior and a pacifist knight, reluctantly teaming up to help people and fight evil in medieval England. I currently have three strips up.

Yeah someone from the animation/Film industry given me their best advice to me was that people are willing to forgive poor animations if the story is good. He told me focus on learning how to write engaging stories with interesting characters and you'll find a devoted audience. Before I thought animation had to be the best in the world to make people love your art but in reality it’s the story and love of your characters. I have 3-6 months of experience and I’m enjoying the ride on this animated journey. So don’t give up if someone comes across this comment.

@startanimating6952 ай бұрын
Iclone 8 does have a lot of great features to make your animations much better. But nothing wrong with Iclone 7. The price of Iclone 8 is a bit hectic, so it depends on your budget. maybe start with 7, because the user interface is pretty similar.
@kazielbonn2 ай бұрын
@@startanimating695 Thanks for the reply, much appreciated. I've owned CC3 and Iclone 7 since the end of 2022, but just haven't had time to start my projects. Now I'm about to start, I'm just trying to figure out what type of workflow I want to invest time learning between Blender, CC3 and iClone7, and maybe Unreal too to easily create environments. Basically my aim is to create documentaries based on ancient cultures. CC3 has the humanoids covered; rigged and ready to animate in iClone7 or Blender. Export models to Blender to create their clothing and accessories, re-import to iClone7 if I can't get the hang of animating in Blender, though I'm going to need to learn it for animals like horses and camels. Then export for scenes to be rendered in either Blender or Unreal. Am I on the right track?
@startanimating6952 ай бұрын
My honest opinion is that Iclone is the easiest 3D animation software to learn and to animate with, especially because of the motions you can use, and that you can use mocap software as well for fast animations and to save time. Yes, when it comes to rendering you are on the right track. Animate your entire projects in Iclone, and then render it in Blender or Unreal for better results. But if you are looking for great characters, scenes and props, then make sure you check out Daz Studio. I purchase all my characters and scenes there because I feel they have more variety and in some cases their toon characters look better and more "Disney/Pixar" than the toon characters on the Reallusion marketplace. But here is a great tup for you, when it comnes to creating characters in Character Creater, I use Daz characters, but get my hair and clothing from Reallusion. The reason for that is the weight maps and physics are already added on the Reallusion hair and clothing, where with Daz it isn't. Hope this info helps.

I bought iClone on Friday and Ive been getting along with it quite well over the weekend. A lot of fun and very easy to use. Blender has too many hotkeys and too many menus just to do simple things. The price of entry was well worth it because it saves me time. I'm not a professional 3D Artist, just some guy learning a new hobby.
