P0303 which is cylinder 3 misfire. Also had a P0301 which is cylinder 1 misfire so codes don’t point to much, but spark plugs and fuel are the easy go to. Good luck and thanks

Your video was helpful, thanks you. Question; I feel like I cleaned my heater well, even though there's a bit of rust still present. Barring the possibility that I need to clean it to a high shine, it is still presenting some orange flame. As in, not 100% blue. Do I need to keep cleaning until the flame is blue, or will the residual particulates burn off? Also, I'm guessing that coating the port with anything is a bad call, but is there anything I could do to limit the return of rust? TIA

My understanding is for every cubic ft of propane burnt 4 cubic feet of moisture vapor is expelled so that rust is going to keep occurring. I wouldn’t worry about it. If the tube is clear and the flame is fairly blue maybe as good as it gets. If you’re having excessive soot you may want to disassemble a little more and make sure the tube is clear. Hope this helps

I used someone else’s but increased the size of steel a little. I like the “over do it” when it doesn’t cost a fortune. But almost any structural engineering company can or will point you to who can. Thanks for checking out the channel.

Anode rod. It’s the rod that extends into the tank to help prevent corrosion. If you have just a plug it might have been replace with a plug only. It is usually make of zinc or magnesium and it will deteriorate over time. They’re fairly inexpensive on Amazon. I’ve bought them at local hardware and cut them for rv. Home heaters have the same rod, and with a water softener can cause a smell like rotten eggs. I’m not an expert on it. I hope it helps. RV stuff seems to keep a person busy.

I've never seen anyone build their own metal trusses. Why not use wood trusses? That sure is a really thick floor. Could you just have used steel I beams? Nice job though.

Sure we could have used beams. But it was about the looks, and hvac. It’ll make a little more sense when we post the finish living space. The spiral exposed hvac duct work vents through the trusses. Thanks for checking it out.

I found my belt tensioner froze up on its pivot, that belt tensioner has to move as a belt, cools down and warms up. If it’s frozen one place it doesn’t compensate for the cooling and eating of the belt, also make sure your belt tensioner swivel is not froze up. All those pieces have to be free so take it apart and look at it.

Hey brother, that's a pretty hefty service! Plenty of power to run the shop. Thanks for the video! Some tips for making better videos. Make sure to watch them yourself as you had some doubled up clips. Also if you can watch it back without having to touch the volume knob throughout then you did a perfect job! You gotta think how many people watch and with mismatched audio levels that causes hundreds or more people all having to adjust their volumes. Keep it up! You're doing great!

Thank you for the video. I have a 1995 UNO 41E, 600 hours total. I have owned it since 2003. I have had no problems with mine. Use it to paint the house, install new gutters, pulling bushes out of the ground, installing street light poles, lifting all kinds of things. I got my second set of batteries from Costco (6 volt), they are 7 years old and still working. Again thank you for posting your repair I may need it one day.

What I’m seeing is throttle sensor or sensors. Which seems strange. So let me catch up with silly questions. 1. Battery age/voltage? 2. Are codes stored or do they come back after running for a very short time? 3. If stored have you disconnected negative cable for up to five minutes? Is so do they clear and then come back after stored. 4.How many miles/km overall condition? 5. Wash with power washer? On a different model I’ve seen voltage drop cause these types of codes get stuck in ecm. Honestly these are starter questions and probably take deeper investigation but gets me started.

I'm hoping what you just showed me is the issue with my RV hot water heater. Mine is showing soot on the screen as well as up on the outside of the trailer above the hot water heater compartment. I shut off the propane so it's not available and I turned off the hot water heater switch inside the trailer for tonight. What made me suspicious though is I smelled something burning and I couldn't figure out what it was. But when I went back inside the water tank switch was red, I figured the propane tank was probably out of propane. So I went out and switched the tank over to a full one. Came back inside and turned on the hot water heater switch. I heard it ignite and then I saw through the kitchen window a brightness reflecting on the tree next to my trailer. I went out the door to see a flame coming out of the screen of the hot water heater door. Immediately I went back in and turned off the switch. Went back out and turned off the propane. It's too dark out now to work on it but I will in the morning. So the first thing I'm going to do is blow out anything that may be in the tube and inside the hot water heater. I noticed there is a wasp nest in the eve of the house I'm sitting near and we also have stink bugs here. I watched a video of another person who had ladybugs stuck in their hot water heater. He took his shop back and cleaned them out as well. So I will start there tomorrow to see what is wrong with my hot water heater. If that is as simple as it is I want to thank every camper and RV owner on KZbin that has taught me this trick! 😊

I run a shop that repairs and service ATV/SXS , this one has only 1300 KLM on it , I checked the machine from end to end , cleaned the spark arrester , sensor connections and everything looks good .this bike was stored last fall working normally and came out like this two weeks ago .when I said it does nothing in reverse I mean nothing ,the engine remains at idle with throttle wide open

Got your message. Will look into it. Quick questions. Do you trust fuel, spark plugs, and exhaust maybe somewhat plugged. These are cheap and easy to replace ( plugs and fuel) exhaust just labor to check baffle or fiberglass material in muffler. Hopefully simple. I’ll keep checking and get back to you

Nice job with the rebuild! I'm curious - would you recommend buying a used lift like this? I saw a couple Uno 33 Es show up at an auction and got intrigued. I'm mostly concerned with operation on uneven terrain, getting it stuck on soft soil, the control boards going bust and being unable to replace them.

We had a gas/propane jlg in the past. I like the electric model a lot better. And the company is amazing to deal with. You can talk directly to technicians, engineers or parts people. One of their techs actually sent me a copy of his electrical “cheat sheet “. You couldn’t always have a different experience but I’ve been very happy

We do own the lift and will most likely keep it after the building is finished for maintenance. Do as much as possible yourself and hire the best skilled people for electrical, plumbing and hvac. Thanks for the question. We’ll look forward to hearing when you get started!

Good question! In our situation no attic,but air flow, R value, vapor barrier has been challenging. Different weather zones deal with this differently. I did what the inspector wanted and it made sense theoretically but I find steel buildings breathe more at the seams than you might expect. How do you fasten the top plate to the steel?

We had 2x6 walls and trusses 2” wide so sandwiched with 2x2’s then Teks self tapper up though plate into truss. I suffered a lot of indecision and hind sight with framing around those trusses. I didn’t care for the ways I saw others doing it. Not in love with the way we did it either. My advice is don’t center walls on trusses. Also keep walls 3’ minimum away from trusses for easier drywall/ painting whatever. Up coming videos will show that in better detail.

Part of the lean-to will be bedroom/office etc… so will get more insulation before ship lap ceilings. But porch’s will get ceilings too but will frost at night and warm days we were afraid of sweat forming on underneath side of roof.

Pretty good, the tough part was centering a siding rib on the window grid. Which meant siding from center out. Getting steel into “j “ channels from multiple directions.

Great video! I also have a UNO 33E that I purchased from my employer. They purchased it from a local rental store. It's a mid-1990s model and I've "known" it since around 2005. It was eventually replaced and sat outside for a couple of years before they finally sold it to me for $500 about 5 years ago. It's in pretty rough cosmetic shape, but mechanically sound. I need to fix the electric brake and the bucket crank-swivel mechanism.

I had the same problem with a T300 belt tensioner,it seemed like the tensioner spring was stretched..I removed it,clamped the block ends in a vice,turned the spring off the blocks.. then cut two turns of the spring off, one turn from each end..threaded the blocks back onto the spring and bolted it up..drive belt squeal no more..you could go cut more turns off,I tried to stay conservative

keep in mind the idler will only swing so far until it hits the pump bracket/housing..the idea was to renew spring tension..FWIW there is a rubber insert inside the spring which will have to be shortened if you cut much more off the spring length.@@featuredelements4631

Huge milestone. Love the color selection. Wasn’t so sure when the garage doors first appeared. But seeing it all complete I get it now. Looking forward to seeing the floor plan. Even if it is just sharpie on a napkin! Hahaha. I’ve started designing my dream barndo using SketchUp. Maybe I should have used a napkin, cuz the learning curve is steep and it’s taking too long.

Why not pour the concrete footings first and then set the posts above grade on metal U mounts?

We could have done it either way, but our concern was wind during construction. The soil drainage is remarkable no wet holes on this hill. So holes are 4 1/2’ deep 24” diameter, we pour 11-12” of concrete that post sets on and 3/4 yard around post. Seems to make inspector happy. The wind coming through mountain range is crazy. Thanks for the question.

I purchased them through the local Napa store. So far so good. There are 8 batteries at approximately $150 a piece. I believe after having a gas/propane unit I much prefer electric. If I can ask what unit did you get?
