Correction: While discussing the combat I failed to metion the timed critical hits you can achieve during combat (you'll see one at 6:18), which are a very satisfying and cool looking way to defeat enemies with a single blow.

For years this game did not get the respect it deserved. I spent so many hours into this game and never touched the main quest. When I played the other games as they came out I felt the player base was robbed. No one believed me

unity: take a game that you needed 8mb of ram, and a 50mhz Pentium, and make it so that you need a super computer.

Thank you. If the controls were more like skyrims or oblivions I would try this game. Owned it for a long time but the controls never felt comfortable. I think I will try it with unity

0:31 I believe you should have showed Ymir's Shadow here, since this already spoils the thing you put spoiler warning for later on.

Please consider contributing to the Wayward Realms kickstarter campaign running right now! It is Unreal Engine 5 sequel to the 1990s Daggerfall huge open world RPG...

sucks they lost that ambition, i still cant believe Starfield had no actual space travel and has more loading screens than any of the other games.... in 2023!

If you like Daggerfall check out the kickstarter for wayward realms which is from the original creators of Daggerfall. Wayward Realms looks to be a spiritual successor to Daggerfall.

As far as I know, the creators had to rush the last levels' development. That is why they feel... rushed, and are ultimately underwhelming. Nevertheless, brilliant game overall!

playing it right now for the first time and i am a little bipolar about it. on the one hand it has some magic to it, i like the atmosphere and story, on the other, it has many streched out conversations and odd puzzles. but i am going to continue, i think it can grow on me much more.

It's actually funny how bethesda games are always trying to advertise their games as wanting to make bigger and bigger games. And in the end actually ends up making smaller and smaller maps.
@redmarine2717Ай бұрын
That's literal bs. This only applies to all the games being smaller than Daggerfall simply because it's world is computer generated. Skyrim's world is big and is made with hand
@E.Pierro.Artist23 күн бұрын
People don't want bigger games. People want the illusion of a bigger game, but walking in game for literally an hour just to reach a town isn't fun, and games are supposed to be fun.

Can you put together a list of the best mods? The biggest problem the modding community has is not realizing that most people aren't tech wizards. Most people just want to play the game, not spend hours looking through mods. There's a reason people buy re-releases in droves. Anything that reduces the time from installation to play will increase interest in this project (especially among my friends).

I posted a mod list here: www.youtube.com/@DrJerryGaming/community Also, if you're pressed for time or don't feel like researching mods, most mod sites let you sort by popularity, and that should give you a good idea of what some of the best mods are.
