expansion remakes are already in the works by different developers such as: operation black mesa: an opposing force remake by tripmine studios. peer review: an decay remake by psr digital (the same guys who made an remake of hazard course for black mesa as an mod and was the only thing missing from the remake) guard duty: an blue shift remake also by tripmine studios and will be included with operation black mesa on steam when both are finished. black mesa: blue shift: another blue shift remake made by hecu collective with a litle bit of help by crowbar collective, mostly (four chapters are already out and an fifth in the works as of now) released as an mod for black mesa.

That Gordon manages what none of his collages can do is not you need to "overlook" in order to make sense of the game. Its the whole point. The right man in the wrong place. The G-Man more or less tells you that at the end. The only reason Gordon was in the Anti-Mass Spectrometer in the first place was that is what the G-Man wanted. G-Man knows that Gordon would be the one guy, when put in that particular situation, would manage to survive and change the outcome to what he and his employers want. Gordon is just a puppet of much larger forces, who by simply making sure he is where they need him to be, change things in their favor.
