Hello IT Taster, New subscriber here! Can you please create new video content to update all the drivers for Windows Server 2025? After researching Windows Server 2025, I found that many people struggle to install computer drivers. I plan to set up a gaming server in Palworld and play games simultaneously on the same computer. This will be helpful for us, especially since this will be my first time using a Windows server. Thank you!

I noticed after putting GPU on the riser card/PCI slot of my hp dl380 gen9, is not showing on my windows server operating system, also when I went ahead in installing other versions of windows server operating system, the GPU is also not showing on it, what could be the solution to this ?

Hi, generally new hardware is usually detected in device manager (even if no driver is available). If that is the case a suggestion would be to check the Windows Server hardware compatibility list (HCL).

Why the gateway is the same DNS?
@ittaster13 күн бұрын
Hi, the router is serving DNS in my lab. However later on when the server either joins a domain, or becomes a domain controller the DNS server config will change to point to an internal Microsoft AD integrated DNS server.

Hello Jon, so I went with the DataCenter 2022 OS , I also followed your instruction except for setting a static IP address. When I try to connect my computer to my domain controller it tells me the password is and username is incorrect. I haven't gotten past this point. Do you have any suggestion?
@ittaster17 күн бұрын
Hi, double check you entering the user account name to join the domain in the format domain\username. Also remember to use the password for the account on the server (not local PC).

Great video tutorial, thank you very much!. I have two old Domain Controller servers(2012).I have important servers on this domain. My alternative server(s2) crashed and the main server(s1) is not doing well. I would like to have a newer server as an alternative. Can I have the my neu alternative server later as the main server and use the old server(s1) as the alternative?

I have a server and client set up based on your Windows Server 2019 videos that has worked well for many years (never connected to the internet). Now I need to use Remote Desktop Off-Network through the internet to control the client. I connected the switch to a router and changed the IPv4 address of the Server and Client to be on the Router subnet address, but I get "The connection was denied because the user account is not authorized for remote login." When the client is not logged into the domain, the connection works. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

I followed these videos to set up a server 2019 with 5 clients years ago and it’s been working beautifully. This network was never connected to the internet, but now I need give one of the clients access through Remote Desktop so they can work from home. Using NordVPN meshnet I can connect to their computer when logged in as administrator and not connected to the server. However, unable to connect that computer when it is logged in as a client on the domain. I get ‘user account is not authorized for remote login’. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

From your Windows Server 2019 & Windows Server 2022 instructional videos, I learned a lot about setting up for Windows Server. Just recently I took advantage to upgrade to Windows Server 2025. Per this video, I was able to make for Installation and configuration on Windows Server 2025. From your previous videos, I was able to correlate to join my client computers to Windows Server 2025 through DHCP and Domain Controller. Also I have setup for Print Server. Now comes the question: what about setting up for File Server? The best that I can tell, Windows Server 2025 has done away with File Server and now instead has Windows Server 2025 File and Folder Sharing. For now I only see one video on KZbin for Windows Server 2025 File and Folder Sharing. Nothing on File Server setup for Windows Server 2025.

Can you do a full MCSA series of videos for Windows Server 2025 ???
@jeffrobertson89772 ай бұрын
Awesome video! I don't believe a TPM module is strictly required for Server 2025 like it is with Windows 11. If you have one it does have to be v2.0 however and if you don't there are some features that won't work.

great explanation Jon. So if i had an application that i needed all users on the domain to access, is this what i would need to do? like just add that application to the folder and share it to all the users?
@moozbally2 ай бұрын
Hi Jon, great video, im here in 2024! I notice you used the admin account to join the host to the domain. How can i use individual accounts as i dont want all users using the adm8n account?
@ittaster2 ай бұрын
Hi, 'delegating' the task 'join a computer to the domain' is a better option to consider for a production environment. Also do keep in mind by default, a user can join up to 10 computers to a domain (which can also be changed).
@moozbally2 ай бұрын
@ittaster does this mean if I have 10 users, I am giving them all the admin password? How can each user have their own user ID, which they can use to "join a computer"
@ittaster2 ай бұрын
no, a regular user account is able to join a computer to a domain by default. You can also 'delegate' a task to a regular user account like 'join a computer to a domain' only (but nothing else).
