Iron ranger is one ugly ass boot.

Man I’ve considered buying the Red Wing Iron Ranger’s for a while now. I just have a hard time getting passed the fact that kind of have a crown shoe look to them a bit. It’s unfortunate because they seem to be great quality and built like Tanks. Maybe they look different in person and on the feet 🤷‍♂️

Those are nice, just picked up the 2962 in bourbon Yuma. It’s a little richer in color but same characteristics as copper rough and tough, and leather lined and cork sole

please learn to do the speedhook lacing technique, u can lace this up under 5 seconds for each side.

if u want to make it more water resistant, put wax between the welt and the upper . put seem sealer on the stiches. now u can stand in ankle deep puddle with confidence.

my best daily driver boots. very abrasion resistant and carefree leather.

Enjoy that break in period it’s what separates the real boot dudes from the posers …lol also idk know if u have ever seen the Thursday Captains but they are like $199 US and are real good quality for the price have many good colors,, they don’t have that toe cap like the iron ranger … it’s more just a stitch for looks going across the toe but they are great for going out to dinner or to the bar or something …More of a casual/Formal boot

Love them! I have a pair of thr iron rangers in copper that I bought because they didn’t have any blacksmiths in at 3 stores I looked at. Tried on the Iron Ranger to see how they fit and walked out with them. I’m still jonesing for the Blacksmiths and will no doubt get them in the same color, sooner rather than later.

Thanks for posting. I just bought factory second pair from Sierra Trading. I like Bick 4 Conditioner or SAPHIR Greasy Leather Cream. Both will not darken the leather.

These are great boots, redwing just stocked a few in the cooper leather, bought my second pair just in case. Light and lean, quality leather and construction, relatively easy break in, soles last forever when used in grass and don't pick mud, tough as nail and look good after a clean and just like the rangers will keep your feet dry in rain. With boot trees they keep a nice shape and don't bow like more expensive and bulkier foot weights sold as boots today.
