Just took mine apart, the motor started making a loud whining noise and woke my neighbors up... that's how I found out I had a problem. Now, I had a hard time removing the impeller, wouldn't even budge with hand and the whole thing came off the shaft... unlike yours. At minute 1:10 when you remove the impeller, your motor shaft has the seal showing.... in my case the seal is on the impeller's small plastic shaft. It's the same A0580903 part number impeller as in your video but has a plastic shaft(wish I could send you a photo). Wonder why and thanks for your time.

They should really make these three position stops. i.e. water coming from filter, send to water falls and wall returns evenly or just water fall or just wall returns.

Thanks. Pulled mine. Couldn’t find a crack but it was t seated properly. Reseated it. And pump is working now but I can hear it sipping air. Will order a new lid to be on the same side. Thanks for posting.

A million thanks for giving me the confidence to avoid paying a few hundred bucks to an experienced Pool Tech. Once I saw I had the same exact burn marks on the display board I felt grateful for coming across your video. I swapped out the board within minutes and wrapped it all up.

I still get get a slow drip after I replace the bulkhead on the top. I’m thinking that it’s actually leaking from the baffle assembly inside the tub. Wondering if this just unscrews and if the cause is usually an another O-ring to replace?

Hi Steve, thanks for this video. I followed the instructions but the temperature sensor pops out of the inlet fitting now due to the water pressure? Is the fitting just loose/worn or did I do something wrong? Water leaks out of the fitting now.

Sounds loose or worn. May need to tighten it or if it’s pretty old, replace the holder. Here’s the part on Amazon. amzn.to/4clwWez

Hey steve thanks for this helpful video. I am looking into upgrading a clients Aqualink RS, to this wifi version. Quick question for you, the actuators all have to be replaced? They have three actuators in their current configuration and it looks like the kit that you purchased contains two.

Good morning, thanks for the question. If you are upgrading an existing system you can use the existing actuators. They sell an upgrade kit, which is just the board and antenna. It’s a great system, hope you have a great summer

Hey do you know if we can purchase a replacement handheld remote? We purchased a house and it has a Jandy r0686300 antenna but the previous seller didn’t leave a remote

Double check that it is the antenna for a pda and not the newer wifi system iq2.0 or is 3.0. If it’s for the wifi system then you can connect it to your phone.

If it is indeed a pda, you can get a remote on Amazon. amzn.to/3WTMOk6 Unfortunately the remote is almost as much as the kit.

Wow very expensive for just the remote. I downloaded iAquaLink and went to my WiFi settings and don’t see the system so assuming it’s RF to a PDA and not WiFi. Is there an easy way to add WiFi to it? Or better getting a professional to install. Not sure if it’s cheaper to just go that route out by the handheld and be done with it

@@jsmmao take a look at the antenna, if it is the wifi, you will see IQ2.0 or IQ3.0 otherwise it’s the pda antenna. Then it’s whichever way you want to go. Both systems wifi or pda are about the same price. Installation is as simple and mounting the antenna to the wall, plugging it in to the pc board and then connecting to the device. Not to difficult at all.

This is exactly how not to do the job not only is it a hack but in a couple years of you taking the rail in and out those cups are gonna be ripped right out of the ground when you take it out one year

Let’s see….that video was from 2022, and we remove that rail every winter to put on the cover. That was only the first one I videoed but have been installing them in like manner for almost 20yrs. All of them still work just as well. The bronze deck anchor works perfectly with the stainless steel rail so no corrosion happens. If you use the cheaper aluminum then you will have problems. Bronze is the best thing to use
