É incrível escutar como cada pessoa chegou ao poker...eu devo essa paixão quando descobri o livro da Konnikova enquanto assistia um vídeo do autor do livro you2 sobre salto quântico, e ele citava ela nesse vídeo e o que aconteceu em 1 ano quando ela fez toda a imersão na indústria do poker com Erik Seidel. De repente, lá estou eu, começando a buscar apps para jogar poker, sendo que tive 1 ou 2 contatos com poker durante a faculdade e nada mais. Realmente, é algo que as pessoas de fora não compreendem de início, um choque imediato quando você fala que joga poker e pretende se profissionalizar o que é meu caso. If you're a reasonably good player you should be a winning player and here's why, because you get to fold! 94o utg doesn't appeal to you? FOLD! QTs got 4 bet ? FOLD ! and you don't have to get a reputation as a rock, you can open QTs from EP, et.etc. but the "Option" to fold is a huge weapon,

Never knew Berkey was a lefty. I was a pitcher back in high school as well. I was throwing hard and had a solid curveball, and batted .370 as a pitcher. It never worked out for me either. Hopefully I can follow in Berkeys footsteps. Great docu, I’ve seen this many times while I’m out doing my gig work. Awesome documentary. I’m happy to see how poker has evolved. I gained interest in 2004 during the moneymaker effect and then seeing Greg Raymers giant chip stack at the final table before winning 5 million dollars. I was hooked. I only got to play my first live wsop tournament in 2022. It was the $600 deep stack. The only one in my budget 😅 and lasted about 7 hours. It is still my dream to one day play the main event. I feel like I could cash and that would be a huge event for me.

Poker is THE most inclusive activity on the planet. Anybody with the buy-in can show up to any tournament or cash game and just play. It's you, your chips and the cards. So any gender, race or disabled person not showing up really just doesn't want to show up. Get over it. Apart from that, the assessment of everyone that Moneymaker is abysmally terrible since 20 years is totally accurate. Just watch the actual relevant hands from his WSOP win. All of them are atrocious (and, obviously, lucky). There's been no improvement or reflection since. It would strike me actual wonders if he ever read a book, let alone a poker book. Compared to Rampage's very accurate self assessment. 95% of people who would have done exactly what he did end up broke. He was also very, very lucky. But now he has more of a reasonable bankroll to continue whatever happens.

If he keeps up that BRM the kid will be busto and never heard of again in no time. Getting massive scores are great but then you constantly want more, so he will continue to try for the big prize and chase the rush which will be his downfall. I hope I am wrong and he grows to be a great player but continually wagering a large portion of his BR will catch up with him #varience

Wish the casinos would ensure that the games (i.e., shuffle masters) are on the up and up....vary where the dealer cuts the deck...hand shuffle...go to anonymous play, etc.; or at least divulge what they are doing. in casino cash games, winners and losers are chosen, to an unsuspecting public. This should be illegal. I for one have seen quite a bit of mathematically anomalous activity.

Loved the video, great content. However, you had all the major poker groups represented except one, the OMCs (like myself hint hint). We are the patriarchs of the game and whose shoulders everyone else are now standing. And all of us are dreamers….because you never know.
