I think that the pickup ability is the nail in the coffin. For every lion killed, every pokemon on the team with pickup has a chance to pick up a healing item. This way the pokemon can stay healthy while they fight forever. Because there are a lot of lions to kill, there are a lot of chances for pickup to proc.

Chandelure is one of my favorite pokemon in pokemon go. It’s so cool and it hits like an absolute truck!
