Hi there, I'm desperate for help and i don not find any answers anywhere... so as I'm subscribe to your channel because of your expertise, knowledge, layouts, cars, videos etc etc i thought you might know how to solve my carrera digital 132 problems... Basically every time I want to code a car it goes to RC #3 no matter what so now all my 22 cars are coded to RC #3 and I can not turn on/off the lights and all of them do change lanes without me clicking on the change lane button, basically all my cars are now in 1 throttle #3 and do change lanes every single change lane piece of track... if friends bring over their cars they stayed the way they play at home but if we try to code the their cars again automatically they are coded to #3 throttle... Did it happen to you at some point? do you know how to solve? or do you know to whom I can ask for help? it does happen every time permanently even do I reset the unit control several times.... Please advice Getting really frustrated here... Cheers!!

Wow...I have never heard of a problem like this!!! I haven't been into this hobby for a year or two. But the best that I can remember is that, when you code a car, place the car on the start line, press code button on the control unit, then press the lane change button on the controller. That should do it. If the problem continues, I would contact Carrera slots.com and they could hopefully solve the problem.....sincerely good luck with problem........believe me I KNOW how frustrating it can be. But everything that I just explained is the best of my knowledge on the Carrera setup.

You didn't need to do anything other than take the LEDs out of the hole and put it back together as it won't count laps or do anything other than transfer power without the LEDs to read the LEDs on the cars.
@wjspade

Or just put a tiny square of electrical tape over the LEDs. Wiring in a switch for the LEDs would be a worthwhile mod though.

Way Cool! Dang you have lost it,but in a good way. My carrera track is upstairs in a converted attic and is freshly built with a whole lot more to come. Its hard to run races with out being able to get at back side of track sometimes. I tried it and it was a struggle at times,I end up leaving space to get to the backside.

Same boat here. I thought the R2 bank would nest by the flat R1 curve - nope. I found this video very helpful. I spaced the two track curves away from each other and made additional supports that mimic what would be the R1 bank and then set the R2 as described here. The 6 piece R2 curve 'floats' above the surface of the table but functions fine. It takes at least 4 straights for the bank to return to a flat run. In short my layout changed slightly to accommodate the banked curve, A hill as a landscape/scenery project could make things look more natural. If I had known before the purchase I would have not bothered with the bank.

I am going to try making a regular plastic model car into a slot car. You inspired me, lol. I have an old snap on 1/32 Dodge Viper, never assembled with the parts still on the tree. I only have 5 cars, all are brand new and purchased no longer than 6 weeks ago. I’d hate to tear one apart, maybe I can find a used car for parts.

Hi! Thanks for the video. Quick question. Will using the 2/30 banks on each end fit on a 4ft wide table 12ft long? I'm thinking 8 straights on each side.🤷‍♂️ Thanks
@coverts5t
@coverts5t 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Rich, I believe it will just fit...width wise. Length is a different matter. 1 straight is 13.25 inches long so...8 straights comes out to be 8 feet 10 inches. Now the 2/30 highbank curve dimensions, found on the internet, says that the outside diameter is 45.5 inches. I've actually built tracks with those dimension figures in my Carrera track software and when I physically build it on the table, the highbank curves are a little smaller. So with all this being said, if you add 8 feet 10 inches or in other words 106 inches of straights plus 45.5 inches for both curves...you'll have a grand total of 151.5 inches or 12 feet 7.5 inches. My recommendation is to use 7 full straights and 2 1/3 straights and you'll be completely on the table with no track overhanging the edge. Hope this helps pal...good luck

Hi Rich. 2/30 banked curves WILL fit on a 4' wide sheet, because I just mounted them on my layout. Mine is U shaped, and one side is 4' wide by 16' long with the #2's at the end of one leg. The #2 banked with 8 straights puts it at just under 11'. I know this is late, but I hope it helps you!
