I don't think humanistic consciousness will ever be achieved through back propagation networks, this is because they are unable to incorporate new memories and experiences into the weights at runtime, whereas spiketiming/hebbian networks naturally incorporate new memories. But we will get there eventually since the ultimate source of inspiration comes from nature.

A 25 year study by the Smithsonian Institution has found that zinc white delaminates and flakes over time. You will find that most paint companies do not sell it individually, but mix it with other whites such as lead, white and titanium white as a filler.

How can the organ restoration cost £1.5 million and the windows cost £1 million?? Are Windows more complicated to make than large organs?

The total cost actually is £1.8 million ! A pipe Organ is a complex instrument made up of thousands of pipes and mechanisms to control the sound from keyboards . To answer your question the reason why the costs are more then windows is. U have the costs of the builders errecting scaffolding to remove the pipes and mechanisms of the organ to transport them to the factory of Nicholson's in Worcester to restore them. And then the costs of other specialists involved in making new pipework to the project. As Andrew Caskie Nicholsons managing director explained. 60% of the organ is the existing pipework & 40% of it will have some new pipe work added along with new mechanisms etc.

@@magesterium2485 I am afraid you missed my point. I am fully aware of organs and what they cost and how they are built. I am an organ student and sell organ music. The question is, how can windows which are much simpler than organs cost £1 million pounds and a full size Organ £1.8 million? Are we saying the cost of making windows is more than the cost of building half an organ? Windows are cheap. Its just frames and glass. £100,000 for the windows would have been expensive.

The windows are double glazed and some are curved at the top so that all adds to the expense. Also installation is tricky and takes care and time so that all adds to the cost of them.

The temporal contrast seems to indicate color is a perception and the result of how we processed the world. I wasn't looking at the cross, and I didn't see green. I missed the instructions. I backed it up, and then I saw green. Same video, same person, same light frequency, different results.
