What? Replace the Apache longBow, you got to be kidding. THat think will never replace the Apache. It's like trying to replace the A10. Nothing can really replace the A10, So same for the Apache. The Bell -V280 isn't the same. It will replace the V22 Osprey that has the same exact design.

neither do the Japanese to my knowledge, they have apparently ordered a version, but don't operate it yet, though for the Americans, there was the Marine Personnel Carrier -program where Patria co-operated with Lockheed-Martin, the MPC program was later absorbed into another DOD program (I believe the program was called ACV 1.2), as far as I am aware that one was scrapped as well, but technically the US military HAS operated AMVs in an evaluation capacity.

US stryker is based on Patria AMV and Japan made deal with Patria build AMV XP's in Japan. Other countries are also South-Africa, Chec's Croats, Polish at name Rosomak, Australia etc... and it is most battle tested IFV today.

@@hullutsuhna Stryker is product of general dynamics landsystem's and ques what Patria is also part of that exact same company since the AMV is there licence product just like example NEMO is and that is the reason why USMC is as we speak testing NEMO system to the strykers since it bases on same modular planing as the patria AMV and dose not need modification on it hull. So take a little more backround cheking.

Showing pictures of Tiger 2 tanks while talking about Blitzkrieg is misleading. When the Tiger 2 was introduced, the (offensive strategy of) Blitzkrieg was no longer working, Germany was on the retreat and sacrificed mobility for utmost armour and firepower to fend of the endless onslaught of Shermans and especially T-34s.
