I am so glad they went to the Hybrid electric engine . Colonel Douglas Macgregor was right about the old gas guzzling Abrams . Now instead of 8 hours on a tank of gas , the tank can go 24 Hours straight. It’s heat source projection has been reduced as well

Other than the hybrid drivetrain, which in itself is nothing new, this tank really shows us nothing that other modern tanks don't already have. It still doesn't have active armour. And it is still a bit of a big pig that won't be able to use many roads or bridges on potential battlefields. And with all this 'high tech' equipment, it is bound to be the most expensive tank to date. Thus limiting the numbers available. And its firepower is still the same as the previous model, which brings it in well below some of its competitors. Perhaps they should head back to the drawing board.

How many tanks you know with hybrid diesel-electric engines? Zero? The reason is used the same shell is because that’s what NATO uses. It’s plentiful and can be used across different systems and is highly effective. I would go look into this tank a little more deeper before you spew your ignorance. And it is ignorant.

What i like about this tank is that it hybrid rather the jet engine they placed at the back..... Its now more silent and not a gas guzzler

not a jet, but a turbine. And the consumption isnt as bad as many people make it out to be. And the Abrams isnt called whispering death for nothing - they are quite silent when the engine is operating. The start up is loud, but normal operating sound isnt that loud. But yes of course, as you say, it will be less thirsty and more silent and also the heat signature will be reduced, which is also great

When the Tiger 2 was introduced, the (offensive strategy of) Blitzkrieg was no longer working, Germany was on the retreat and sacrificed mobility for utmost armour and firepower to fend of the endless onslaught of Shermans and especially T-34s.

It's a technology demonstrator. GDLS mad it tomtake to military trade shows to be what they think maybe a future evolution of tanks. The US army didn't put out any contract to replace the M1A2. Not a production tank.

all those cameras all over the hull and turret are usless since tanks attract mud and dust like a do attracts fleas , If you flying across the deseert at high speed or over in Germany at one of the training grounds that tank will be covered in dust including those camera same goes for mud you hit one mud puddle at high speed again those camera will be covered in mud

Listen guys every Tank has his weak points and power points,i love RUS just like US Tanks,nothing last forever,some longer some shorter,depends on what Tank it is,on the given situation,crew,they are all only killing machines on the battlefield that are replacable,some are better some not,there is no the BEST one only good ones,bad ones and middle good what else can i say,any way a great machine any way,no matter because it is US/NATO i love them all.Better they stand all together instead againd each other,maybe there is some more powerfull enemy outside that we even dont know and then we wil fight all together,for the humanity and that is what actually only counts.

I fought a year and a half in Viet Nam dom dom - what war did you fight in? 200 tanks lost in Vietnam, and although somewhat effective with infantry support, the topography sure as hell, wasn't conducive to tank warfare. Perhaps you believe tank combat against terrorist in the center of large city would be more to your liking. I really have to laugh at your comments as I consider the 5000 Russian T72's lost, the offensive failures, and lack of captured land by the well trained Russians and their tanks.

My guess is that they would have over a million casualties trying to take the same amount of land after resorting to human wave tactics. You cannot take land with artillery and drones. What else would you use to advance into hostile territory? A truck? A plane? How well did that go for Russia?
