My parents attended their interview today for the green card application I submitted on their behalf. The immigration officer did not approve it on the spot and mentioned he will check whether a second interview is needed. He informed us that the decision will be sent by mail. I’m a bit concerned, as this is a parent/child green card application. Is it common for such cases to be denied? I would appreciate any insight or guidance you can provide.

Hello, i changed my name when I applied for US citizenship. Now I’m applying for dual citizenship here in the Philippines, they were asking fora copy DECREE CHANGE OF NAME. According to Brooklyn court and INS in Manhattan NYC, they don’t have a copy of my application of DECREE CHANGE OF NAME. Is there any way where to get it how to get it. The Philippines immigration giving me a hard time eventhough I gave them everything I mean all Filipino and American documents. And still they kept asking about a copy DECREE CHANGE OF NAME. Even though I have told them there no way I can get it because there’s no records. And according to Brooklyn Court and INS. As long I have the Naturalization Certificate, US passport and old Filipino docs that proof is was born and raised and both of my parents and Filipinos, that should be good enough. But the Philippines Immigration won’t approve it without the copy DECREE CHANGE OF NAME.. I need help badly..

Hello. Thanks in advance for your help. The thing is I requested for my name change on N400. But because my fingerprint failed twice at USCIS, they told me to do it again at my local police station. Before the USCIS mailing me the documents to the police, I was scheduled for the interview and passed the civics and English test, but at the end of the interview, the USCIS interview officer said she can’t put my new name on my certificate because I haven’t finished my metrics so she let me sign my old name on a paper. Then she gave me the documents to bring to my local police station and I passed my metrics. Later I got my oath ceremony scheduled in the coming 2 weeks. My question is can I still ask USCIS to change my certification to my new name on the oath ceremony? Should I pay another $565 for name change on my naturalization certificate or should I go to the local court to change my name before my oath ceremony? Thank you so much for your time and help. Hi, thank you so much for your information. I had my interview on March 08th, 2022, it went well, I was just missing the medical exam, so they sent me a RFE next day. We sent our medical exam on March 14th, the tracking number shows package arrived and signed by an employee.. Also the officer approved my I-130 on March 09th, I got my Combo Card approved on July 04th,2022, but it's been 8 months since interview , but no updates on the RFE or i-485. Should I be worried. Hi my wife is a green card holder can she apply for her parents to come to USA as a green card holder or she needs to be us citizen?

The Post Office lost my wife's AOS application (along with the Work permit app, Travel permit app and my financial responsibility form) for more than 20 days. Assuming it was gone forever, we reprinted and sent it with FedEx with an edited cover letter stating that the Post Office lost our first packet and "in the unlikely event it is delivered in the future, please disregard". FedEx delivered 3 days later, my CC was charged and all seemed well. 2 days after that, the "missing mail request" I enabled on the Post Office tracking disappeared and now was heading to Chicago. I requested a "mail intercept" but of course the Post Office delivered it anyway. Now USCIS has charged my card for a second time for the exact same forms and, of course, for the exact same person. Does anybody have any suggestions? I tried calling USCIS but all you can get is automated responses.
