C’est en regardant le film N’oublie jamais qui m’a fait penser à cette scène. Quand Allie retombe dans l’oublie après quelques minutes de lucidité et voir le cœur brisé de Noah qui subi pour eux deux la cruauté de cette situation ( Alzheimer) . C’est similaire pour Buffy et Angel. Elles ont tout oublié mais pas eux. Il n’y a que le véritable amour qui vous donne la force de continuer en regardant l’être aimé qui vous a oublié alors que ce n’était pas son choix. Une terrible TRAGÉDIE.

I always cry when I see or hear this scene, it's arguably the cruelest scene I've ever seen on any visual media in my life. Sarah's line "How am I supposed to go on with my life, knowing what we had? What we could've had?" tears me up so bad.

I'm a grown man so why the heck am i crying? I hate you, Joss Whedon. I mean, I love you, but I hate you. That's the one couple of history of TV that I deeply wish could've gotten together. I would give ALL the other couples of TV history just to have this freaking one together. The tone of this show is fantastic. I love Buffy series, and of course is a classic. But Angel aeries is truly one of a kind

This scene destroys me, I get this saddening feeling, almost like I can't breathe 😢😅. It's so freaking sad!!! Even though I love Buffy and Spike as a couple I still believe Buffy's true soulmate was and always will be Angel.

Rewatching Buffy after all these years, as an adult with a lot of life experience under my belt, angel leaving sunnydale and breaking up with buffy made sense. I used to hate Riley, but when Buffy and Riley started getting to know each other it felt good for Buffy. But then they had to throw this episode in right before Riley and Buffy kiss, and I realised that's why Riley was never going to be accepted by fans. Because we knew Buffy and Angel had only just shared this, it's canon for us. We know that Buffy would have chosen Angel a million times over Riley. It wasn't really fair to what could have been a much more healthy relationship for Buffy.

Sarah Michelle Gellar had good acting in this scene but look at David Boreanaz after 3:22! 1 second ago he has her true love and chance to stay with Buffy and now he felt loosing this moment! He vampire with soul but even he can't handle this too easy, this is too hard for him and he is trying to hide his feelings beacause this Buffy would not believe that they could have future together! Through those eye contact in the end Angel say to her:"I love you!" and Buffy understand that!

I'm in a long distance relationship with a woman I love so much. We only see each other 2x a year, for a week at a time. This scene hit sooo close to that feeling both the night before and the day that I leave. There's never enough time.

If you think about it, when he asks the orikals what will happen to the slayer, they're talking about faith, buffy is dead already, faith is the active slayer, thats why when buffy dies in season 5, another one wasnt called, if faith was to die, then the next slayer would be called

I can’t tell if I’m crying because this scene is just that damn sad, or if it’s really because I know I’ll never be desired that bad ever in my life. You feel their desire, loyalty, and devotion to each other in your soul. The one person you truly could spend forever with and never lose those feelings. Such a powerful scene.

@@CountryBuff08 I had a breakup like this. We had a very 'love of your life' relationship but we were both too young, in college on a year abroad from different continents. Our breakup was like Buffy and Angel's except we were watching the airport clock for when he would have to go beyond security and we'd probably never see each other again. 1) you're not wrong; it is a bewildering pinnacle of life to love and be loved like that 2) it's a burden when you're not a ball of energy that can roll to success. i'm unmedicated for hypothyroidism (tested low but doctors went 'eh' despite pleas) and it's been 10+ years. to quote a klingon "my deterioration is proceeding apace." it sucks knowing you're now a footnote in someone's life who's go on and lived when you just never could. it's peak existence for a moment. but it carves out part of your love and your pride to be locked away, forever a monument to what was. not what is. /shrug
