Wow! I so totally connect with this video. I’ve hunted elk with rifle for 14 years and then switched to archery and got my first bull. 22 days in the forest, 150 miles on boots.

Sorry for your loss but thank you for using his story of Christ being center of his life to share the love of God to anyone will to watch this. And to have that piece to know you will see your dad again when the Lord calls us all home.

Awesome tribute to your dad, sounds like an amazing man. My dads bucket list animal was an elk that I made happen for him in 2011 when he killed a 330” 6x6. I lost my dad unexpectedly in 2020. I’m headed to Colorado in September for the 2nd time trying to get mine to put next to his god bless good dads and elk hunting ❤️

Not that it matters but was that first bird a tom or Jake? The beard says Jake but that fan and how it was gobbling says Tom to me. Either way congratulations on a successful hunt with your daughter!
@ElkCampTV2 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching the video! That bird was a gobbler that had somehow lost most of his beard. As you mentioned, he had a full rounded fan, gobbled and ran hens like a boss. Definitely great memories that we will never forget!

Amazing video Steve..Such an amazing tribute to your Dad. It's videos like this that make you the best, aside from the great hunts you provide, but you genuinely are a great man.

Curious about what your setup is with these hunters when you are calling them in. How far behind the hunter are you calling from? Are you out of sight?

Sometimes it is tough for fairly new hunters to get comfortable turkey hunting with iron sights....especially if they are using a .410.....putting a scope on Amanda's gun was a great idea. They sure are a pretty bird.
@ElkCampTV4 ай бұрын
I should have known to do that years earlier due to Amanda's cross eye dominance (right handed/left eye dominant). Getting her setup up with the CVA Scout .410 and a red dot scope made all the difference!

Steve, thank you for posting this video. My dad was my hunting partner for many years. He passed away almost 10 years ago now. Watching the video brought tears to my eyes. We have had quite a few hunts together here in AZ when we got drawn. It is hard to go hunting still to this day. It hurts, but want to enjoy with my sons and daughters still. May God comfort you too!!!

One of the finest hunting videos I've seen. Yes, this is why God gave us dads. My dad and mom are the ones who brought me to Christ as well. What a blessing they are to me. Nice work, Dad and Son.
