When you say refire do you mean at the same temperature and length as first firing? Thank you for your help

Thank you for sharing. I do have a question. Can you use the paste in a mold?
@221b-Maker-Street
@221b-Maker-Street Жыл бұрын
No, I'd use the _clay_ in a mould, rather than the paste - the paste is quite runny, like pottery slip, or double cream, so the clay would be a far better option imo.

I'd like to make 3D molds of tiny (12mm-25mm) pine cones from my property to make charms out of silver clay. What would be the best way to do that?

Such a detailed and helpful tutorial, thank you. Referring to 'undercuts' I'm assuming that perhaps a sea urchin skeleton would not work in a mold for this reason? Thank you :)
@amysurman
@amysurman 2 жыл бұрын
Yes….you would have to make a two part mould.

@@amysurman thank you. Yes I would like to see more of them. I was not trying to be harsh. And I'm sorry if I came off that way. If you could put the camera behind you and have it pointed down to the project your working on. And possibly zoom in closer that would be great. I'm still learning and sometimes I need to be able to see up close the steps you are doing. Hope to see more of your videos

Hi Amy-just wondering if I could use a microwave kiln for the silver paste poppy?
@amysurman
@amysurman 3 жыл бұрын
I thought I’d reply on here too. You need to take the temperature to 600c and hold for 45mins. The ramp must be slow so it gives the Poppy chance to burn.
