Much appreciated! For better or worse, yeah, we all knew it was coming. Alas, I’m out so little now, that I am just now hearing about it. Either way, expect this same turn of events in another year or so…like people, those two trains just seem to come and go.

That ain’t nothing, friend. Try 2016 - 18. In those years, I experienced quite a few treasures we won’t see anymore. Even then, I missed out on nearly a decade of what many consider the railroad’s prime. I’d try best to make the most of what we’ve got now though, because in another 2-5 years, you’ll be making that comment all over again. We all will.

@@kotabeaner excellent point. Although I lived in PA during that 2016-2018 timeframe I wish I was down here to see it. I can’t imagine chasing 10+ trains in daylight hours on the S-line, would be a dream. It’s a sad reality how corporate the railroads seem to be now and saving money takes priority over everything else even if it comes to screwing their own crews over. I have hope for the future but like you said, we probably will look back on these days and say “we had it good”

@@kotabeaner last weekend I went to Lakeland connection and I go to catch CSX trains M457 M604 L772 and Amtrak Silver Star P091 which had the Phase 1 heritage locomotive as the trailing unit

Beautiful engine, gotta say I love the IMC. Would be cool to see IMC 204s sister to be saved. IMC bought 2 CF7s, one being 204 and one being 215, IMC 215 had sported the standard cab unlike 204 tho. IMC 215 is now owned by Mosaic and is now MOSX 34, 34 resides at Mosaic New Wales out of sight and sitting “abandoned.” Its now been sitting on mosaic property inactive for many years and isn’t looking to great just like when IMC 204 wasn’t looking all that great. Would be cool to see maybe 34 have a bright future but for now she will sit..

Depends on the locomotive. Like I discussed here, those with the “Blomberg” truck have two on each individual axle (so 8 in total for each truck), and two leaf springs on each truck for the frame suspension.

Just watched all of this. Great production work! I attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville from 2013-2017, and I wasn't really as much of a railfan as I am now. I so do wish I would have checked out the many trains of Knoxville sooner.

It certainly is. We only had, maybe, one person ride by on a bike the entire night. Apart from the random car passing through maybe once every hour or so, there wasn’t a soul in sight apart from the crew pairs on each train. Rather peaceful to me, for better or worse.

Thank Ya! I want to say that was a Coyote. Was just kinda walking by rather nonchalant until those bells started ringing…almost braced myself thinking it would run at me..haha.
