Why does the compressive strength based on cross-sectional area i.e. N/mm^2 ? if the volume is not a factor in determining the compressive strength, then why the test is performed on a cube? Why not perform the test on a flat concrete such as 150mm x 150mm x 10mm ? Can anyone explain?

Hi, my calculator can't calculate multiple square root but it has one battery and it works without battery ...is my calculator original??

I remember my first 911-ES calculator. I accidentally dropped it so hard onto the floor that it won't work properly already. So I tried to open the location of the batteries, and I saw two of them. I was hopeless that time, but then I realized that it can be powered by solar, so I went outside and tried to use it under the extreme rays of the sun. IT WORKED!! But then it still didn't work if I won't use it directly under the sun. Now, I don't even know where it is. :(
