I usually finish my edges with a single row of single crochet so this step is not needed.

You can also do single crochet around the entire edge of your project with a single row of single crochet. It doesn’t add much to the size and it makes the edges all the same

I started using Crosia yesterday and I had to open it multiple times to make it straight, so it helped alot, btw I'm doing the same design and same colour of thread 😂
