They've put the vehicle number where the set number goes on the cab. There's another film with 810003 on the Hitach test track, where that vehicle is at the rear, & it clearly shows the set number "810003" on the inner end near, & the vehicle number "851003" on the cab, like in this film.

At least there's not the daft 26m long carriages with tapered ends and 1 metre gaps because of the excessive throw. But still pocket doors in this day and age....

@@adamcutts2174The traction equipment used is the same, as the 385s are effectively part of the Hitachi AT family (those being AT200s, the 810s being part of the AT300 series).

The Class 810 that East Midlands Railway have ordered to replace the Class 222 will operate to Nottingham, Derby, Leicester and Sheffield. Be looking forward to seeing these new trains on the Midland Main Line very soon or from next year.

I do expect that the Class 807 Evero will enter service in the next upcoming months ahead. As the Class 805 have now entered service and are replacing the Class 221 Voyagers.

I do like how these new units are parked up outside the depot before they start moving and leaving the train manufacturing plant. Hitachi are the best train manufacturers in the UK.
