I have to disagree with you on few of your review. I have a 54" vintage bercomac on my yamaha 700. Good blower but very poor frame. I had to rebuild the intire subframe because it is not build strong enough. U have seen the same problem again and again on different KZbin videos my father in law has the 66" on his utv and had have the same issues with his sub frame as well

Man is video is spot on, everything i complained about while i worked on trades you said it. specially the buying your own equipment and the workplace gossiping. Also not receiving proper training most of the old guys the supervisors send me to shadow and learn they would tell me i dont get paid to train people.

I agree with some of the stuff you mentioned, but not all. Our experiences are surely different since I’m an American tradesman and I’m not an electrician. But like the stuff about making you go to school before you can become an apprentice and how much you need to get started. I didn’t have to do any of that. I had to buy all the hand tools, but power tools and gang box is provided by our contractors, contractually. They’re also required to give us water in the summer, but I believe thats an OSHA thing. Idk, given everything you said, I would still say it’s well worth it to learn a trade and start working. Idk how college is done in Canada, but here in the US it’s extremely expensive and you typically can’t find jobs in the field you studied, and the ones you can find all start out as unpaid or at least underpaid “apprenticeships”. So they’ve spent 60-70k on a degree, the loans are due to be paid back within six months from graduation and they’re working unpaid. Meanwhile, my schooling was free and I had a job while doing it.

There no money in the trades unfortunately I can go work at a warehouse for more.

My opinion: Im a blk man 56 from Detroit, I have been a garage door tech for 30 years since I got out the Army. When I was in HS trades were in the schools but too many young blk guys were getting credentialed straight outta HS bypassing the union hall bullshit so they took the trades out infavor of illegals. When I grew up in Detroit there were very few Mexicans now there's a whole part of town full of them and this is across the country - you'd be hard pressed to find a job site not filled with them now. Also I tried hiring blk & wht young guys but they just arent interested only ones are Mexican or spanish guys.

Lot of things you mentioned we have the same problems here in the us. I’m in curious in Canada you have to pay for all your own safety gear electric tools & take college course to enter the trades?! Here in the us that’s not a legal requirement almost all companies pay for ppe & supply power tools, any extra educational courses as well. My question is what do we do change all these problems? Even here in the US companies are raising wages still seem to have a shortage of finding people. How do we make them pay us more money even when holding out isn’t working ? 🤔
