This is great content and works well with 16px and 24px custom buttons. But unfortunately if you're using the large button UI, there isn't a way (at least that I've found) to get 36px and 48px icons to work. I know it's possible because Corona does it (C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2024\UI_ln\Icons\Dark), but I don't have a clue how to set that up. They also use PNGs instead of BMPs.

I wish you did that years ago when I was working in arch viz :)... Aerial tracking and adding buildings or roads in 3DS Max was such a nightmare... I ll buy it if I get into arch viz

Cool tutorial, great job. I would maybe comment on just two things: you dont really have to manually remove bad tracking points, there is an option in PFtrack to filter points that only have a certain error amount and it will remove all tracking points over this accepted error amount. The second thing I would use google earth to measure the site (works pretty well) and then put that data into PFtrack telling it "hey the distance between these two points is so and so many meters". This will give you a camera with the correct focal length and the tracking points will be at the right distance from the drone camera, I prefer doing this because I would not want to scale my architectural model from the client as real world scale is important.

Apart from PF Tracking are there any other tracking software which is better for architectural visulization..?

Here's no tracking software for only architectural visulization, it's just tracking software. 3DEqualizer is industry standart. SynthEyes also not bad. All depending on footage and task. Footage from this tutorial is simple and you can track it everywhere, even in davinci or after effects.

If you are doing the modeling and the tracking then Blender does both. It is also free.

I don't know how you do it, but I can't, the chrome shortcut doesn't generate any code, I've been trying for an hour... I don't know if it's the code that I can't copy properly, but in any case if I copy the example code, it doesn't work for me. I'd appreciate some help. I'd used another procedure before, and this one seemed simpler.

People saying they would switch to blender. Please do, no vfx company uses it. 3dsmax has been a clear winner when it comes to handling huge scenes, having the best plugins in the entire industry and probably being one of the best modeling softwares. Please do skip to blender, nobody is stopping you, and talking about how much blender is better is not going to change this fact.

There are a lot of situation where Topaz sucks. It's good for very common situations (nice youtube tutorial e.g.) but in real life it produces a lot of artefacts. Or it can be good decision for draft animation - in this case it's really good way.

I used it for every shot except for the car shot which I mentioned, I mentioned artifacts as well, mostly I used 2/4 times interpolation ;)

We have been using this for years! But it was a "company secret" I guess is time for all the world to know. Upscaling and interpolating is a huge advantage on rendering times.

I bought Topaz AI to upscale some old portfolio animations I lost my working files for. I was then able to use them for my portfolio. It saved me big time! I never thought about using it to speed up my rendering time. This is an awesome idea! I can't wait to try it out. 😁

Really interesting approach to animation renderings. I use to work with multilayer EXRs and I do all the compositing in After Effects, I guess the "patch" rendering would be a little bit difficult with my kind of workflow but I will give it a try. Thanks for sharing 💪

Know topaz many years, it's not so straight forward process! Time consuming and buying new software too, it required latest video card or your preceding Time is 4h for 4min of video or more! But if you have the latest rtx it's possible to convert to vray and render on gpu in Vantage. And why 4k ? 1080 still the standard or you can just export I davinci or pp with the right settings in 4k that's all . I don't think we should orientated on 4k it's this only for watching on the super biggest screen but in that case such client can afford 5k to pay! Even movies now 2k produce in Hollywood still, so no reason, too much additional efforts for what they pay for, if they pay they get 4k for 5k ;))))))))
@ArchVizArtist
@ArchVizArtist 12 күн бұрын
You can apply exactly same logic to upscale to 1080p and render even smaller images, it’s up to you… you don’t have to do it like I do ;)

@@ArchVizArtist iam just about to say if they want bigger image, they pay, not us ;))) production movies cost a lot, 5k its nothing for those who what order it
@ArchVizArtist
@ArchVizArtist 12 күн бұрын
If I use this method, I can charge a client e.g 5x less for a 4K animation and be more competetive or have a better margins... Even if you charge them full price, it's better to use this method and earn $4K more.
