DO NOT BUY ANY KUBOTA PRODUCT I BOUGHT A NEW KUBOTA LX 4020 TRACTOR TO USE FOR A SNOW REMOVAL BUSINESS IN BRIAN HEAD, UT. I HAD TO PURCHASE FROM A DEALERSHIP IN COLORADO AS IT WAS THE ONLY KUBOTA DEALERSHIP WITHIN A 1000 MILE SEARCH TO HAVE THE TRACTOR I NEEDED FOR THE PURPOSE INTENDED. The Dealership, Wickham Tractor in Fort Collins, CO sold me the tractor and added Howes diesel treatment to the tank as well as selling me the remainder of the bottle to use to prevent the fuel from jelling. I Used as per specs. Tractor was purchased on 11/21/23 and I picked it up and transported it back to UT. Tractor was in operation for 17.2 hours before it would not start. Local Kubota dealerships said they would not come out to try to fix it as we did not buy it from them. Took it to Las Vegas, NV, as they were closest Kubota dealership, dropped off on 1/8/24 at 730 am. Kubota dealership said the fuel smelled funny so it wasn't covered under warranty and said $12000.00 plus to fix. The DPF was completely clogged and the only codes were low temp MAF sensor and no communication with EGR. Western area rep said there was no fuel to test because I drained it. This is a Lie. Had more than 6 gallons of fuel in it when i dropped it off. I have all the emails and correspondences and text messages, proving they denied coverage for adding a fuel additive. Sergio at Kubota customer service said, “When I put fuel in the tractor it voided warranty.” Apco, the Kubota dealership in Las Vegas, sent out the injectors for testing they came back as bad due to fuel contamination on 1/23/24. Kubota persisted in their point of me putting bad fuel in the Tractor. When I called the tester, I pressed about the fuel contamination. The person who did the test, said it was visible metal in the injectors that most likely came from the high pressure fuel pump. There was no metal in the fuel tank, fuel filter or fuel water separator. The dealership i bought the tractor from said they were the only ones that could help me at this point due to Kubota policy. Eddie at Wickham tractor told me I needed to bring the tractor back to them, 1367 miles round trip. and they would sell me a new one because I had broken this one. And would see about trying to fix the one I had already bought for a discount. I transported the tractor back to Greely, CO to Wickham on 1/18/24 they tested the fuel that was still in the filters and it came back as fine 2/8/24 so they were going to replace the entire engine. This could take between 3 to 9 months. My warranty coverage says all warranty work to be completed within 30 days. On 2/28/24 I found out there was internal Kubota Service Bulletin that came out to all the dealers the week before I bought the tractor stating the very problems my tractor was having. They knew this, and still denied coverage, and finally, when I presented this fraud to Kubota, on 3/7/24 Wickham tractor said they were going to replace the tractor with a new one, but wouldn't give me a timeline of when I would get a new one and I would have the expense of picking it up from them verses a local dealership. These delays have cost me my business and reputation to move snow I had to pay out my competitors and cancel and refund all my contracts. A service bulletin for this tractor was issued before I bought it stating this very problem. and it was to be fixed at Kubotas expense. They knew the problem existed, they tried to blame it on me for adding fuel supplement, they tried to coerce me into buying a new tractor on top of the broken one so i didn't lose my business. they refused to cover the cost of repair until i proved their fraud, and intent by pushing the narrative and then changing and deleting emails. I have all emails and correspondence showing the timeline, the fraud and intent.

For that shaft that broke, I don't see any shearpins to protect it, just the slip clutch on the pto shaft it's self, but that should be enough to protect it.
@gaining_ground2 ай бұрын
I agree, a properly adjusted slip clutch should be enough. The owner's manual shows that there should be a shear pin on the tractor side of the PTO shaft, at the coupler. The manual gives you the size of bolts to use when needed, which I purchased in case. However, for some reason mine does not have one. It wasn't until this happened that I found out it didn't exist on mine.

@gaining_ground2 ай бұрын
Thank you. Yes, my dealership recently replaced the transmission shifter position sensor. I only have about 25hrs on the new sensor, but so far so good. I want at least 100hrs of a trouble-free transmission before I consider it a success. Like I stated in the video, if I can get the transmission straightened out, I would definitely recommend these tractors. The problem with my dealership is that they just don't work on many tractors and don't have the knowledge base to diagnose certain issues. I would do some research on your local dealer to see what their experience level is on these machines before buying one, in case you were to have an issue down the road.

I'm just in the market for a tractor and looking at the Bobcat CT2025. Was wondering if you had any problems with it? I know Kioti and Bobcat are pretty much the same. Any other insight you could give me? Thanks
@gaining_ground4 ай бұрын
I have almost 500hrs on my 2025 and haven't had any problems with it. It's a great little basic tractor. No emissions, no turbo and minimal electronics. Those are what cause most issues in newer equipment. I like the bigger chassis (Bobcat has a 25hp tractor in a small chassis CT1025). The CT2040, CT2035 and CT2025 are identical tractors, just hp output. The engine in the 2025 is normally a 40hp engine, Bobcat turns the injection pump down for the 35 and 25 models. Because they drop the hp below the 26hp limit, it doesn't require emissions. Depending on what you want to use it for, in my opinion the 2025 is a little underpowered. It takes a fair amount of power to run the hydrostat transmission. You will definitely notice it on inclines. I use the mid range about half of the time and the low range the rest. High range is for road use and unless you are at full throttle is really lugs the engine. If you plan on pulling implements you will most likely be in low range and not moving very fast. I mainly use mine for 3-point spraying, pulling a pipe trailer and pallet fork work. The front end loader controls are very touchy leading to jerky reactions, but if you take your time they are fine. You would just have to weigh the higher hp with emissions versus the lower and no emissions. Other than those little things I really like mine. I hope that helps. If you have any other questions just let me know and I'll try to answer them.

@gaining_ground4 ай бұрын
@@georgeborello8075 I would buy another CT2025. When I was looking for that size machine Bobcat was by far the best price at the time. I have had my issues with my local Bobcat dealership (the videos on my CT5555 should explain that). If you are fortunate enough to have a good dealer in your area, I wouldn't hesitate to by Bobcat. In my location there is no longer a Kioti dealer. Kubota is overpriced in my opinion, but they are reliable. The closest TYM dealer is 2hrs away for me. I did buy an armrest for my Bobcat from TYM, because they use the same seats, and Bobcat does not offer a left hand armrest. It took over 6 months to get it and the TYM dealer told me parts availability was an issue across the board for TYM. It could be better now, but when things break I don't want to wait. John Deeres are good, but again overpriced. I have had good luck with New Hollands, the only reason I don't own one now is the salesman for my area is a real jerk. Just my 2 cents.

Your fuel, engine and hydrostat filters would take a FTM-SS365PR and fits 3.5" to 4" filters and can be found at Summit Racing. The LTM2 is for the larger Hydraulic filter that is 4.25" in diameter for that filter. But it is only available directly from FilterMag since they discontinued the production for that size. You will need to call them directly for that LTM2 product as it has been discontinued as far as production goes and is not listed on their website. That LTM2 fits filters from 3.6" to 4.3". Thanks for your Bobcat CT videos - I just did the 50 hr service on my CT2040. It looks like Bobcat colors the bolt head orange for those that are used in common maintenance. Does anyone know why the small bolt head is colored orange that is located on the top of the front drive axle housing just inside the front wheels? I dont see these referenced anywhere in the manual - Bobcat parts online just shows "bolt". At this location only thing I can think of is to vent air when doing the front axle drain and change?? Too small for a fill port Stumped.
@gaining_ground4 ай бұрын
You are welcome. Yeah, that's all I can figure, that those upper plugs are for venting, one other viewer thought the same thing. The other curious item is the front oil capacity states "xx qts each". It doesn't say each side specifically (considering there is only one fill port) and the total that I have put in doesn't match the capacity individually or times 2, so I am not sure about that either.
