I have a UK spec Creo with a 15mph assist limit and its virtually pointless to own, unless riding very hilly terrain I am faster on my 1980s steel framed Raleigh with 3x8 and Vee brakes, this style of bike makes little sense in the uk for anybody with reasonable fitness, I will be selling it soon, in a fast group at speeds over 15mph you are just on a heavier bike than everybody else and have no chance of keeping up, plus I am on my 3rd TCU in only 8 months, not working for me

How big of a person do you think could use the rear seat? My 15 year old wants to try it but im worried at 120lbs and 5'4" she's too big. But they went to the Netherlands this year And saw people riding bikes in all sorts of crazy ways, so she insists it would be fine, at least for short rides.

I’m always impressed by anyone who rides a century at those speeds, but to be fair the motor was off 47% of your ride. That equates to 60 miles under power. I’ve done a century with a range extender and a lot of motor off miles, but 65 to 75 is a more realistic mileage for most people without the extnder😢

It is Epic to see this ride with the others. I just bought the Creo 2. My goal is not necessary to follow super well trained riders, but moderate riders. As I said in another KZbin, I will do a tour in the EU Alps somewhere. It would be nice to see what speed you had on the flat to follow those other riders?

@thee-bikeandacousticrider
@thee-bikeandacousticrider 3 ай бұрын
Sorry about that. I am new at this. I use two extenders for anything over 100 miles and a lot of climbing. I set it up to use the first extender only. Once that one is low I switch to other extender and main battery. Then those two drain at same time. Gives you the most range etc with a lot of climbing.

You have a Garmin? Does it give you readout of the power/cadence/% grade and position on the hill/heart rate? I gather all that data is generated by the Creo controls and accessible with a lot of menu shifting (except HR/cadence) on the bike display but wondered if that was accessed real time by the Garmin. I just got a Creo Comp and was considering a Garmin.

Quite interested in your drivetrain upgrades - would you say upgrading just the chainring but retaining the rest of the GRX set would make a difference to chain drop? I’m really struggling with drop on my bike and my shop can’t seem to do anything about it. I don’t really want to spend a ton upgrading components though as I’m eyeing up upgrading the whole bike to a creo2 towards the end of the year anyway.
