This tsunami happened in Japan in 2011, I heard a lot about it on TV and in newspapers, but today, watching real footage like this, I just realized how terrible and scary the tsunami was.

I was 6years old. I grabbed my mom's hand and trembled. I don't remember much about my childhood, but I remember clearly about the earthquake. Even when everyday life disappeared and there was no tsunami damage, the roads were ripping due to liquefation. I can't forget it even after many years. May the victim rest in peace.

Despite being hit by numerous tsunamis, Japan has managed to remain a technologically advanced country. Imagine how much further it could have progressed if it had never faced such devastating disasters.

Tsunami --- Walter Medeiros 14.03.2011 Para aonde vai a Terra, Com seu eixo desviado, Seu povo submergido, Suas urbes destruídas, Governos desnorteados Nesse imenso padecer?

Too tiny tsunami. Most sources state that waves are supposed to be 10 and more meters high.

Depends on the coastline. In some areas it was only a few meters. But the height doesn’t really matter, it’s the amount of water that comes with it

Even the dog started barking to warn the people that something was happening n when u see that we r hopeless to do anything with mother nature. Don't u all think that its time to try to get along with others in this world instead of fighting wars n killing each other it just seems so stupid when u look at disasters that nature can inflict on us all we should all just try to get on with each other's no matter what because aren't we supposed to b the most intelligent things that ever walked on this planet. Then its about time we acted like it then surely 🤯🤯🤯

Watch the pier pilings from the beginning you see the water level dropping ahead of the tsunami then you can see it rapidly rise until the pier is underwater and that's like 5 minutes before the Big Wave hit you can really notice it if you speed up the video.. you can imagine hundreds of years ago play something like this happened the people would think it was the end of the world in all reality it was the end of the world for a lot of people just completely and utterly mortifying.

Water... every life form on the planet needs it to survive. When you see waters raw strength like this it is incredible. I'm sure after 13 years there is still a little physical clean up. I'm sorry for your loss if you lost loved ones the mental clean up is the hardest one,.
